Choose an online IQ test by the result you want to receive. A short demo, a longer mixed-question exercise and a timed visual challenge are different products, even when each uses “IQ” in its title. Check the exact mode before investing your time.
For a brief visual demo, try 123test's eight-question option. For a 30-question visual exercise with correct-answer counts, try FermatMind. For a longer mix of questions, consider ARealMe's Quick mode, with further questions required for its detailed profile. For an official Mensa practice activity with a countdown, use Mensa Norway. None of these four unsupervised practice paths establishes Mensa membership eligibility or replaces a professional assessment.
This comparison is published by FermatMind, which provides one of the tools below. On 16 October 2026 we completed the four English free paths using synthetic, arbitrary responses to inspect access and result fields. We did not compare the resulting scores, assess measurement accuracy, buy reports or create third-party accounts. Chinese ARealMe instructions were also checked; completing one language does not establish equivalent scores in another.
If you want to turn reading into self-measurement, continue into an assessment.
What did the free paths actually show?
The outputs below were observed in those sessions. Question counts and duration estimates come from the linked providers; an estimate is not a verified deadline.
In our synthetic session, a “below 100” range message rather than an exact number
Timed practice; do not assume every completion gives a precise IQ number
All four observed paths reached a free result without an email, account registration or payment. That statement applies to these modes and sessions, not every service offered by each brand. We did not observe item-by-item answer explanations on those result pages.
Which option fits your next step?
“I want a short preview before committing to a longer test.” Choose the 123test eight-question Culture fair demo. We left its demographic fields blank and could still view the result. Its landing page also offers a separate ten-question Classical demo and paid full products; we did not complete those. Selecting a free demo does not unlock every report sold by 123test.
“I want to see how many visual questions I answered correctly.” The current FermatMind form supplies that count and accuracy alongside its displayed score. An email recovery form appears above the results, but leaving it empty did not block viewing them. The score uses predefined correct-answer anchors, while “proportion exceeded” uses a normal reference model; it is not a ranking of observed participants. The five-axis chart marks logic and verbal axes as unmeasured zero placeholders. Use the actual item-group counts, rather than treating the chart as a comprehensive cognitive assessment. Our score and accuracy explanation gives the calculation details.
“I would rather try a longer mix than only visual matrices.” ARealMe Quick is an option. We could decline both demographic answers and view the result. Its current model is labelled n20261015a. The provider describes its reference as recent participants rather than a representative world population. Complete-mode profiles and certificates were checked against its public description, not obtained in this review; decide whether you want that extra length before continuing.
“I want to practise working under a stated deadline.” Mensa Norway displayed a countdown and allowed returning to earlier questions before finishing. Its introduction describes an indicative score, but our completed path returned only a lower-range message. We finished early; we did not independently test what happens when the full timer expires. Choose this for its practice format, not a promise of a particular result or membership.
If you want explanations, start with teaching material
A result summary and a worked solution serve different needs. If your goal is to understand why a visual rule works, read our three introductory matrix examples, then the rotation and reflection exercises. These are original teaching materials with explanations, separate from the scored bank. They do not reveal answers to the four providers' tests.
On a phone, check that the whole diagram and every option are legible before starting. A desktop completion does not prove that every task is equally usable on every device. We did not complete all four tests again on physical phones. Follow the selected tool's actual navigation and timer; do not assume that another site's return or resume controls exist here.
If you need membership or formal documentation
Start with the organisation that will accept the result. Mensa practice is distinct from admission: British Mensa's free Workout explicitly offers no IQ score, while its supervised online service has its own residence, equipment and proctoring conditions. “Online” alone does not tell you whether a service is accepted. Our Mensa practice and admission guide explains those distinctions.
For a school, clinical or other formal assessment requirement, establish the required instrument, language, age suitability, practitioner and report with the receiving organisation or qualified professional. A practice certificate or a free score cannot establish acceptance.
Do not subtract or average scores across these sites. Different questions, references, languages and conditions make the numbers non-interchangeable without relevant comparability evidence. This review tests what a user can access; it does not identify the “most accurate” tool.
Sources and coverage limits
FermatMind current form: full English synthetic path and result observed; the estimated duration is not a verified hard limit.
123test demo chooser: eight-question Culture fair demo completed; ten-question Classical demo and paid full reports not tested.
ARealMe English and Simplified Chinese: English Quick completed; Complete, certificate and seven-day resume remain provider descriptions, not hands-on findings here.
Mensa Norway instructions and practice: full synthetic path in its 18–50 age option; countdown, return controls and range-only result observed. This selected bracket is not evidence of suitability for every age.
Details can change after the check date. No third-party test questions, answer keys, private result links or real users' records are reproduced here. If you choose our visual exercise, start the free 30-question FermatMind test when you have uninterrupted time.
Frequently asked questions
Which free IQ tests let me see results without an email?
In our checked English sessions, FermatMind's original 30-question form, 123test's eight-question Culture fair demo, ARealMe Quick and Mensa Norway practice reached free results without an email or account registration. This does not cover every mode or paid report from those providers.
Does ARealMe Quick include the complete profile?
Our Quick result invited us to answer 70 more questions for the profile. The provider describes Complete as 119 questions with a profile and optional free certificate; those outputs were not obtained in this review.
Will Mensa Norway always display an exact IQ number?
Do not assume so. Our completed synthetic path returned a below-100 range message. Its introductory score description does not guarantee an exact number for every result, and practice does not qualify you for membership.
Which tool is the most accurate?
This access-and-output comparison cannot establish that. Accuracy requires evidence for a particular instrument, population, version and use; seeing a score or completing a free path does not provide that evidence.
