One: Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to FermatMind's processing of personal information through websites, applications, mini programs, event pages, assessments, reports, subscription features, support channels and other official service settings.

It explains what we collect, why, how we use it, when we share it, how long we retain it, your rights and how we protect it. Specific organizational projects, research partnerships, APIs, in-person events, customized services or special features may also be explained through separate rules, authorization documents, supplementary agreements or page notices.

Two: Information we may collect

To provide services, FermatMind may collect the following categories of information. The actual scope may differ across products, features and ways of using them.

Order and payment information

Order numbers, purchase times, purchased items, payment and refund status, invoice information or necessary payment-related records.
Payments are usually processed by payment institutions. We do not retain complete payment credentials beyond what is necessary.

Device, log and usage information

Device type, operating system, browser and network information, visit times, page paths, crash logs, performance logs, error logs and security logs.
Cookies, similar technology identifiers, on-site preferences, login status and basic statistics.

Communications and feedback

Content, issue descriptions, feedback and attachments you provide when communicating with support, operations, business, recruitment or research partnership channels.
Materials you submit in events, questionnaires, interviews, tests or collaborative product experiences.

If you choose not to provide certain information, we may be unable to provide the corresponding feature, generate a complete report or save historical records.

Three: Special explanation about sensitive information

Information FermatMind processes may include personality preferences, career tendencies, relationship patterns, emotional states, development difficulties and question-and-answer content that is highly sensitive to individuals. Even where this information does not necessarily belong to the same legal category, we believe product design and internal governance should handle it under a high standard of sensitivity.

When features involve higher-risk processing of sensitive information, we try to help you understand its necessity and possible effects on individual rights through clear notices, separate prompts, additional authorization, feature restrictions or stricter access controls.

Four: How we use information

FermatMind may use collected information for the following purposes:

Providing, delivering and maintaining services, including generating reports, saving history, synchronizing accounts, processing orders and providing support.
Interpreting and displaying results, and improving questionnaire flows, result presentation, career mappings, development suggestions and review experiences.
Security protection, risk identification, anomaly detection, fraud prevention, access control and troubleshooting.
Collecting and analyzing product usage statistics to improve content quality, interaction design, comprehensibility and system stability.
Conducting de-identified, anonymized or aggregate research, evaluation and internal method improvements, subject to legal requirements and product commitments.
Fulfilling legal obligations, cooperating with regulators, handling disputes and protecting the lawful rights and interests of users and the platform.

If FermatMind introduces generative interpretation, automated writing assistance or stronger model capabilities in some features in the future, we will try to explain their purposes, limitations and data rules through separate notices, rather than hide new processing practices within old rules by default.

FermatMind will not sell your individual assessment results or identifiable answer data. We do not provide your personal information to third parties except in the following circumstances:

Providing necessary information to entrusted service providers to enable features, such as cloud services, storage, payments, support, messaging, security services or technical support. Recipients should process information within their authorized scope.
With your explicit consent or authorization, or through an action you initiate, such as choosing to share information with an organizational project, research partner, consulting supporter or team feature.
When an organization purchases services or provides them to you through an organizational project, supplying that organization with necessary information about your participation within the scope clearly explained on the page or in the agreement.
Where necessary to fulfill legal obligations, respond to judicial or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, protect users or public safety, or safeguard FermatMind's lawful rights and interests.
Necessary data transfers in mergers, divisions, asset transfers, reorganizations or similar transactions, where permitted by law and with appropriate safeguards.

For public display, external publication or research use of information identifying you as an individual, we will in principle require additional, explicit and traceable authorization.

Six: How we retain information

FermatMind retains personal information for the shortest period necessary to achieve processing purposes. Retention periods may differ according to feature purposes, account status, order requirements, complaint handling, legal obligations and security needs.

Account information is usually retained while the account exists so you can continue logging in and viewing history.
Order and transaction records may be retained for periods required for finance, taxation, accounting and dispute resolution.
Logs and security records are usually retained only for the period needed for security audits, troubleshooting and risk controls.
When retention expires, processing purposes are achieved, you close your account or lawfully request deletion, we will delete, anonymize or de-identify the relevant information, except where law requires otherwise or complete deletion is temporarily technically difficult.

Seven: Your rights and choices

Within applicable law, your personal information rights include being informed, making decisions, access, copying, correction, supplementation, deletion, withdrawal of consent, restriction of processing, explanations, account closure and legally requesting transfer.

Access and copying: You may view your account information, order information and accessible reports, and request copies or exports when conditions permit.
Correction and supplementation: You may request corrections if account details, contact information or other information are inaccurate or incomplete.
Deletion: You may request deletion when processing purposes are achieved, retention expires, you withdraw consent, the account is closed or we process information contrary to law or agreed terms.
Withdrawal of consent: For features relying on consent, you may withdraw through settings, disabling features, deleting content or contacting official channels. Withdrawal does not affect processing based on consent before withdrawal.
Explanations and complaints: You may ask us to explain personal information processing rules and submit inquiries, complaints or appeals through official channels.

To protect accounts and prevent unauthorized actions, we may require necessary identity verification before responding. If applicable law in your region grants more specific rights, we will respond within its applicable scope.

Eight: Storage in China and cross-border provision

FermatMind places great importance on the sensitivity of data concerning personal development, personality assessments and career records. In principle, raw assessments, answers, reports and associated records of users in China should be stored and processed in China as a priority.

If personal information must be provided overseas for technical support, cross-border collaboration, overseas infrastructure, group management, research support or other necessary reasons, we will take safeguards under applicable law, such as impact assessments, notice obligations, necessary consent, standard contracts, certification or other statutory conditions.

Whether or not information is provided across borders, we try to follow minimum necessity and process relevant information only within the necessary scope.

Nine: Protection of minors

FermatMind encourages minors to use development-related tools with a guardian's understanding and guidance. For minors under fourteen, we will apply stricter processing rules in applicable settings and require explicit consent from parents or other guardians.

We will not deliberately use opaque, misleading or high-pressure methods to prompt minors to submit personal information unrelated to the service. Guardians who reasonably believe a minor provided information without appropriate authorization should contact official channels; we will investigate and handle it according to law.

Ten: How we protect information security

Based on data types, purposes, risk levels and technical conditions, FermatMind takes corresponding technical, managerial and organizational measures to try to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss or misuse of personal information.

Classify data and restrict different roles' access to highly sensitive information.
Use encryption, de-identification, backups, audits, log retention and anomaly monitoring within reasonable limits.
Establish internal authorization, training, processes and emergency response mechanisms to reduce human misuse.
Regularly assess the security and compliance of service providers, partners and internal processes.

Please understand that no internet system can guarantee absolute security. Protect login credentials, your device environment and shared content carefully, especially on public devices or networks.

Eleven: Cookies and similar technologies

FermatMind may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers or similar technologies to maintain login state, operate basic features, remember preferences, optimize page performance, verify security and conduct statistical analysis.

You can manage some cookies and similar technologies through browser or device settings. Disabling certain necessary technologies may prevent some features from working properly.
