Choose the option that best fits the explicit information in each case. These are original context-choice practice items, not a report of how often you behave this way. Each case has one editorial key and a full explanation. Complete all 30 to see counts; unanswered is not treated as wrong. You may leave without completing the practice. There is no timer, and ten minutes is an editorial estimate.

Practise adapting a message to its audience and purpose, choosing a usable channel and record, respecting stated context and access needs, checking shared understanding and distinguishing communication modes. The report checks choices against the reasoning for these cases. It does not observe real conversations, measure overall adaptability or certify language, personality, professional readiness or employment suitability. All explanations and five full guides are free.
Every section has a public revision guide. Completing the practice shows every guide and item explanation without assigning a type by score. Public guides contain no personal responses or counts; studying before practice is welcome. This is not a secure exam.
These six cases ask whether the message supplies what a specified reader needs: a first step, a bounded decision, an accurate status, a meeting purpose, an actionable support request or a distinction between receipt and approval. The key depends on the stated situation. It does not reward formality for its own sake or require pretending to know what the reader has not told you.
These six cases concern choosing a channel under an explicit access need, keeping a restricted audience restricted, following a stated urgent-contact procedure, recording an agreed change, adding labelled values and giving reviewers a stable document. No channel is declared best for every message. What matters in each case is whether it supports the task and the supplied constraints.
These cases ask you to clarify time zones, remove ambiguous dates, ask about individual channel preferences, explain an unfamiliar term, respond to a caption request and check understanding without interpreting camera status. Adaptation uses relevant evidence about this person and this task. It does not assign a preferred style, ability or attitude from age, nationality, disability or another group identity.
These six cases concern exact timing, conflicting priorities, restating an instruction, a missing approval, a vague handover complaint and an action without an owner. Checking understanding makes a specific uncertainty available for correction. It differs from simply receiving a message, being agreeable or repeatedly asking for reassurance without naming the unresolved point.
These six items distinguish spoken words, a gesture, written sentences, a visual map, a combined spoken-and-visual presentation and a listening accuracy check. A single message can use several modes, and recognising its mode does not establish whether its content is correct. These are basic distinctions for reviewing a message, without a test of writing, hearing, vision or speaking performance.
An original 30-case context-choice practice. It checks choices against explicit case conditions, rather than measuring real communication performance or self-reported frequency.
Real situations can support several useful responses. Each practice case supplies conditions that make one option fit the editorial key; its explanation shows that reasoning. The key is not a universal rule for every context.
Each is the number of keyed matches in six cases, from 0 to 6. The whole bank count is 0 to 30. There are no norms, pass marks, ability levels or hiring thresholds. Equal counts can contain different mistakes.
You can leave without completing the practice. A report requires all 30 choices; missing answers are not silently treated as wrong. If you opt into a tab draft, exit-and-clear removes it.
No. The bank concerns adapting messages under stated conditions, not assigning a communication style or measuring interests. Counts do not convert into either result.
All 30 explanations and five complete public guides are free, without signup. Optional progress stays in this tab for at most 24 hours. Copying shares only a public title and link, never your answers or counts.
This practice contains 30 original cases in five parts of six cases each. Every case has four options and one editorial answer key that fits the conditions stated in that case. Each matching choice adds one; the part count ranges from 0 to 6. The whole bank count ranges from 0 to 30. All 30 responses are required before a report is shown; unanswered is not silently scored as wrong. There is no time limit, population norm, ability grade, pass mark, employment prediction or conversion into a career-match percentage.
Equal or nearby counts do not prove equal communication ability. Two people can have the same count after choosing different answers, and a six-item part is a small sample of cases. A single extra matching answer is one item in this bank, without evidence of a meaningful real-world difference. Review the relevant explanations instead of selecting a winning trait or comparing people’s suitability for a role.
