Think about how you actually spoke or responded in everyday cooperation, study, work or relationships over the past four weeks. Rate frequency from 1, never, to 5, almost always. Use the unscored option when no experience applies, you are unsure or you prefer not to answer. Several patterns can occur; do not choose an ideal image or classify someone else. No private conversation text is required.

What is my communication style? This edition focuses on four ways of responding when needs, disagreement or frustration arise: assertive, passive, aggressive and passive-aggressive. Twenty-four items cover six everyday situations, recording frequencies separately instead of assigning one identity. Full results include all four summaries, examples at work and in daily life, comparisons and optional small experiments.
Each pattern has six items using the selected 1–5 value, with no reversals. After all 24 selections, each part with at least four ratings uses sum divided by rated count, rounded to one decimal; otherwise it shows insufficient information. Unscored responses are never replaced by zero or a midpoint. The four-rating minimum is a website information-completeness rule, not a psychometric or clinical cutoff.
A higher mean says the listed responses were reported more often. It does not make every pattern better or prove effective expression. A firm refusal is not automatically aggression; quietness is not automatically passivity; forgetting or a delayed reply is not automatically indirect resistance. Wishes, context and constraints need separate understanding and are neither observed nor inferred here.
All four means can be similar, tied, high or low. No random tie breaker or highest-score fixed type is used. Small decimal differences have not been statistically validated as meaningful distinctions or ability ranks. All four full guides are shown. Consider one fitting and one contrasting example for each, and keep uncertainty where it belongs.
Read what each of the 4 parts explores. Your complete result presents them together; they are not mutually exclusive personality types. These public guides contain no one’s answers or personal means.
Assertive communication concerns making needs, questions and disagreement clear while respecting the other person. A mean certifies neither skill, courage nor social success.
This guide concerns wanting to state a need, question or different view but keeping it to yourself. Quietness, listening and a chosen pause are not automatically passive.
This guide concerns put-downs, interruption or sidelining another person’s position. A firm refusal, a brief urgent instruction or one mean does not establish a dangerous personality.
This guide concerns reported sarcasm, intentional delay or non-cooperation used to signal displeasure. Silence, forgetting, delayed replies and privacy do not automatically establish indirect resistance.
This edition covers assertive, passive, aggressive and passive-aggressive responses. They describe behaviour in situations, not DISC, analytical/intuitive styles or other similarly named frameworks, and not fixed personalities.
Reflect on six kinds of actual situations over the past four weeks. Complete 24 frequency ratings, read all four means or insufficient-information states, and explore every full guide. This edition assigns no single highest-score type and treats no small decimal difference as statistically meaningful.
No. Reported frequency is not observed ability, effectiveness, emotional intelligence, leadership or work performance. Website validity, norms and diagnostic or hiring predictions have not been established. Results cannot decide employment, explain another person’s motives or provide a verdict on a relationship.
Never is a valid rating of one. No applicable experience, uncertainty or preferring not to answer is excluded entirely, without zero or imputation. Each six-item part needs at least four ratings for a mean. Insufficient information stays explicit and the full guide remains available.
Those features alone cannot do so. A clear refusal is not the same as overpowering someone; silence may mean listening or privacy; delay may have practical causes. Items concern your own responses and neither observe another person, infer childhood nor read their mind.
All 24 items, four rating summaries and four full guides are free without signup. Optional drafts last 24 hours in this tab and clear on completion, retake or clearing. Sharing contains names and the public entry only, without answers, means, private conversations or internal IDs. Blocked storage or copying still permits an attempt.
FermatMind independently authored the items, scoring and explanations. This is not a standard ability instrument and borrows no validity, certification or clinical-training effects from similarly named frameworks or educational sources. Four familiar response names help revisit situations, without inferences about mental illness, childhood, motives, work suitability or relationship safety. Scores are not converted into DISC, MBTI or another test.
