Keep values, references, structure and records distinct.
Practise SUM, copied references, heading structure, percentage display, filtering and whole-record sorting with small original examples.
The count records six selected recognition tasks, not measured operating speed or a hiring qualification. Zero, partial and perfect counts open the same explanations and this complete guide.
Six selected Office decisions
The group asks about numeric SUM inputs, copying relative and absolute references, applying a structural heading, formatting an existing number as a percentage, ordinary AutoFilter and sorting complete records under an explicit rule. It does not measure spreadsheet modelling, advanced analysis, document production speed or proficiency with every Microsoft 365 application. The small fixed examples make each expected answer inspectable rather than assigning an overall professional tier.
Copying changes relative references
Consider a new example in which D6 contains =C6*$H$1. Copying it down one row to D7 changes the relative C6 reference to C7, while $H$1 stays fixed. Check the resulting formula before relying on a total. Moving cells or inserting rows is a different operation. Separately, formatting an existing numeric value of 0.4 as a percentage displays 40%; it does not change that underlying value into forty.
Appearance and hidden rows need interpretation
A Word heading style provides document structure that merely enlarging text may not provide. A filtered-out Excel row remains in the table rather than being deleted by the filter. Sorting whole records preserves the relationship between an identifier and its quantity; sorting only values can break that relationship. A displayed total still depends on the correct range and inputs, so the appearance of a neat result is not enough evidence of correctness.
Use a tiny sheet you can calculate by hand
Make a private sheet with three labelled rows and harmless quantities. Calculate the total manually, then compare it with SUM over the intended range. Copy a formula once and inspect its references. Filter one category, clear the filter, and confirm that all rows return. Sort complete records and compare each identifier with its original value. In a sample document, inspect how a logical heading hierarchy affects navigation rather than judging only the font size.
Recognition leaves actual operations untested
Six answer selections do not establish accuracy on a complex live workbook, accessible document completion or job readiness. Locale, application version and data types can affect software behavior. These tasks state numeric inputs and operations so their arithmetic and reference consequences can be recomputed. That check does not execute every action in Office or validate natural-language explanations independently. Use fresh sample tasks after reviewing the keys; repeated counts can reflect memory.
