Choose one of four actions for each of 20 scenarios. Each item has one supported answer. Read any fictional team rule supplied in the question. There is no timer. This is knowledge practice, not a security audit or professional certification.
Preparing the test…
All questions and full results are free, with no signup. Saving is optional; only saved attempts can be resumed after a refresh or language change. Tab drafts expire after 24 hours and clear on completion or retake.
Practise everyday decisions about unexpected messages, passwords and MFA, device maintenance, information sharing and responding to possible exposure. These are 20 independently written scenarios with public-source reasoning and explicit fictional policies where context matters. The result counts correct choices in this edition. It does not inspect your devices, certify workplace readiness or predict whether an account will be attacked. All answers and five full revision guides are free.
Every correct choice adds one; an incorrect choice adds zero. Five groups of four items add to a count out of 20. There is no reverse scoring, weighting, timer or speed bonus. All items must have a valid answer before a result appears. Missing answers are not treated as errors or silently filled in.
A group count such as 3/4 means three correct decisions on those four scenarios. It is not a percentile, security level, vulnerability count or hiring cutoff. The report shows your selected answer, the key and a complete explanation for every item. Every group guide stays readable at zero, partial or perfect counts.
No professional certificate, hiring pass, population norm or real-system security verdict is supplied. Device settings and real incidents are not inspected. Looking up an answer or repeating the same bank changes what the count means; higher repeated scores can reflect memory. For an actual event, follow the affected provider’s trusted support and your organization’s established instructions.
Every section has a public revision guide. Completing the practice shows every guide and item explanation without assigning a type by score. Public guides contain no personal responses or counts; studying before practice is welcome. This is not a secure exam.
Review suspicious delivery, banking, invoice and gift-card requests. Practise independent verification rather than trusting a logo, display name or urgent wording.
Practise unique passwords, MFA factors, private sign-in codes and password-manager use. Counts reflect four scenarios, without certifying account security.
Review updates, independent backups, preparing an old computer and unsolicited download warnings. Learn the action behind each answer without diagnosing a device.
Practise restricted recipients, optional public fields, recovery answers and support forms. Two scenarios supply fictional policies; no employer policy is invented.
Review exposed passwords, suspicious downloads, a stated work-reporting rule and the difference between reporting and recovery. No incident diagnosis is supplied.
It checks 20 original knowledge decisions in five everyday topics, using correct counts and explanations. It does not scan devices, measure professional competence or predict attacks. Read any scenario-specific fictional rule before choosing.
Yes. Complete all 20 choices to see every selected answer, correct answer and explanation. Five complete public revision guides are also available before starting. No signup, email, payment or certificate purchase is needed.
No. It is an independent FermatMind practice bank informed by public guidance. It does not reproduce an official examination, claim a source endorsement or establish an employer’s policy. Fictional team rules are stated inside the relevant scenarios.
No. A perfect score means all answers in this edition matched its keys. Real settings, exposure and responses require their own checks. Use the actual service’s security and recovery instructions rather than treating a quiz score as an audit.
Answers stay in the browser. Optional tab drafts expire after 24 hours and clear on completion, exit-and-clear or retake. Without a draft, refresh loses progress. Sharing copies a public test link, not your answers, correctness counts or authentication data.
FermatMind wrote the scenarios, options, explanations and guides independently. Public FTC consumer guidance informs phishing verification, credentials, MFA, updates, backups, disposal and recovery. The payroll, support-form and work-reporting rules are fictional and supplied explicitly. Optional public-field disclosure is an original comparison of the stated choices. These checks establish source consistency, not validation of a new security ability scale.
The following public consumer guides were read for this edition. They are reference material, not endorsement of this practice bank. Their account and device instructions take priority for a real event.
These sources provide background, not validation of this questionnaire or an individual diagnosis.
