Light Yagami: Naming a Chosen Aim
Explore Light through a personal reading-notebook aim, revisable scope and seven comparisons. Fictional control and harm are not recast as admirable ambition.
Choose one option for all 24 items; each adds one to its editorial character reading and counts sum to 24. Four of eight characters are offered per item. Each appears twelve times and three times in each position; four absent options are not rejections. Every highest count keeps its full guide. Choosing the first option throughout gives three each and all eight guides. List order establishes no priority or automatic second character. Counts are neither similarity percentages, actual personality proportions, fictional powers nor population ranks. One extra choice proves no significance, hidden identity or fixed type; compare close guides without inventing ties. Conditions and understanding can change choices; this edition has no norms, rarity estimates, scientific cutoffs or psychometric validation.
Limited character reading and story version
Official context places Light with a supernatural notebook and a self-chosen aim within a story questioning power and harm. This edition selects naming a chosen aim for ordinary activities without recasting the whole character as admirable ambition or treating a match as support for his actions. A chosen aim concerns voluntary, low-stakes matters. It permits no control, deception, punishment or decision about another person’s worth in actual life.
Which current choices the count describes
A highest count means you more often chose to state what an activity should offer you, what to emphasise or whether its aim remains wanted before pausing. Is the aim yours, or dependent on demanding someone else’s participation? Counts observe neither appropriateness, feasibility nor actual consent. Clarifying an aim can lead to leaving something for now rather than a promise to achieve it regardless of changing conditions or other people.
A concrete ordinary example
A personal reading notebook may keep passages that make you want to read further rather than provide complete summaries. State that purpose and skip uninteresting passages. Change it to a word collection later if preferred. The example makes the use chosen without valuing you through completion, superiority to others’ plans or endurance. It imposes no requirement that another person read according to your notebook or share the reason you made it.
A possible way to express the preference
You might say, “This page is for passages I want to revisit, not a complete introduction; I can change its use later.” Agree separate aims and access when materials are shared rather than turning your wish into a joint instruction. Clarity requires neither winning an argument nor hiding the actual purpose. Different aims, refusal and ending remain possible without contradicting this limited reading of an ordinary chosen activity.
Comparisons with the other seven character readings
This Light angle names an aim; L asks a distinguishing question; Near arranges available information. An aim is neither evidence nor a conclusion. Ryuk observes unusual details, Misa chooses visible expression, Mello another reversible route, Mikami consistent criteria and Minoru a reconsidered use. These concerns can coexist. The eight establish no intelligence, justice, success or dangerousness ranking and decide no person’s worthiness to hold power over others.
Counterexamples and actual circumstances not inferred
A clear aim may follow a simple activity; an open aim may reflect a wish to explore. Counts establish no ambition, narcissism, manipulation, criminal tendency, morality, IQ or career potential and create no real risk profile. Actual harm, coercion and rights concern actual conduct and conditions. Having an aim excuses no boundary crossing, while a fictional result supplies no basis for suspecting or judging an actual person’s intentions.
An optional observation
For an optional observation, write what you want from a small private activity and when you could change or leave it. No action, success measure or cooperation from others is required. Is it still chosen, with room for different wishes? Simply looking without a settled aim is available too. The observation concerns expressing an aim rather than proving resemblance through determination or borrowing authority from a fictional character.

Unofficial original edition and source scope
This is an independently authored FermatMind 24-item unofficial fan quiz selecting seven main-series characters and Minoru from a-Kira as eight limited readings of ordinary information and expression choices. It is neither the complete 37-episode anime cast nor a mixture with the 2015 live-action version. Characters represent neither complete personalities, actual morality nor an official type system. Items, options, mappings, counts, explanations and examples are original. No IDR 40-item bank, competitor text or algorithm, manga, anime screenshots, character art, dialogue, subtitles, lyrics or other protected material is used. This is no official test or rights-holder partnership, authorisation or endorsement; respective owners retain series and character rights. VIZ series and collection blurbs, Shueisha’s collection information and GoodSmile’s licensed roster check basic context, short-story membership and names without validating these items, counts or psychology. Chinese names are editorial choices retaining English identities; variants add no characters. Results infer no IQ, ability, illness, neurotype, trauma, morality, dangerousness, criminal tendency, romance, relationship, career or wealth, instruct no harm, manipulation, stalking, coercion, punishment or exchange of others’ rights, and convert into no MBTI or other character test.
