Check who owns a decision and whether disagreement has room
This part asks about bypassing views, persistent insistence and pressure in shared or others’ decisions, without equating leadership duties with difficulty.
Complete all 28 selections about ordinary recalled interactions in the past four weeks, from 1 Never to 5 Almost always. Each four-item part needs three ratings for a one-decimal mean; rated reverse items contribute six minus the response, while NA is unscored and not zero-filled. Minimum counts and interpretations are website completeness rules, not the study instrument, norms or clinical cutoffs. Seven continuous readings produce no total, difficulty percentage or highest-score personality, and close or equal means assign no type. Decimal differences establish neither significance, causes nor observer judgments.
What this part asks
Four original items ask about setting shared plans without views, insisting on control of someone’s own matter, using arrangements to pressure dissent, and leaving genuine influence in shared decisions. The last is reverse-keyed. The focus is decision ownership and room to participate, not how often you speak, take initiative or hold a leadership role. It cannot establish whether others follow willingly.
Reading higher, lower and mixed responses
A higher mean reflects more reported overriding or pressure, not effective leadership or a controlling-personality diagnosis. A lower mean does not mean indecision, lack of responsibility or no influence. You may have rushed a particular group plan while other descriptions do not fit. Revisit the items instead of treating a highest value as an identity; the aim is to understand these answers specifically.
An original shared-decision example
In an ordinary shared arrangement, you might say, “I have a proposal; can we first clarify which parts we decide together, then hear what you would change?” This separates a suggestion from decision authority without requiring a vote on everything. Explain existing responsibilities where relevant. The original example guarantees no agreement, and merely having asked is not a substitute for considering information received afterward.
Counterexample: acting within a role
Making a decision within an explicit responsibility, handling an urgent duty or offering a strong proposal does not automatically fit the items. Consider authority, effects, room for discussion and actual requirements. Conversely, being in charge does not automatically justify every override or threat. The questionnaire lacks the full chain of responsibilities and cannot determine the authority boundaries of a specific work, family or shared arrangement.
Compare priority and indirect pressure
Self-importance asks about assumed priority, while concealment and indirect pressure ask about obtaining agreement through missing information or implied debts. This part asks whether others retain a say. They can coexist without being identical, and one mean cannot supply the others. Seven continuous self-report readings rank no power skill and cannot be converted into a leadership style or MBTI result.
Constraints in a real relationship
Duties, resources and power relationships can affect discussion. The test promises no safety and judges no whole relationship. Do not force feedback to prove you are not domineering or infer that silence means agreement. Clarify established decision rights and specific negotiable parts. Whether someone wants to continue a discussion depends on their actual response, not an assurance that a result label can provide.
Try a decision-ownership note
Choose a low-stakes shared matter and note who is affected, who already has decision authority and what remains undiscussed. If appropriate, clarify one detail while leaving room to decline discussion or disagree. There is no need to abandon every duty, surrender every decision or experiment on a relationship. Agreement is not the success criterion; a clearer scope is enough for the observation.
Reading the four items
Complete all 28 selections before a mean. This four-item part needs three valid 1–5 ratings, with a rated reverse response scored as six minus the rating. NA is unscored rather than zero-filled. Minimum counts and interpretations are website rules, not research norms, clinical cutoffs or observer judgments. Insufficient information retains all seven guides. Equal means are not ordered, and low means do not certify an easy-to-deal-with personality.
Original items and research scope
FermatMind independently authored these 28 items and seven guides. Sleep and colleagues’ formal 2021 abstract reports seven antagonism domains; only that abstract and bibliographic information were verified. The paper, its 234-item clinical pool, standard instruments and competitors’ 35 or 21 items are not this bank. Related concepts provide everyday background, without equating selected behaviours with clinical research constructs. Verbal responses do not cover all physical aggression, and consequence consideration does not cover all risk seeking. There are no established website psychometrics, norms, English–Chinese equivalence or researcher endorsement. Results support neither diagnosis, typing others, moral ranking, career judgments, relationship-safety assessment nor harm prediction.
