Original practice bank · All explanations and revision guides free
Practise 24 original Excel formula, lookup, data and presentation questions. Get every worked answer and four full guides. No level or certificate.
24 questions · about 10 minutes · no signup
Choose one answer for each of 24 original questions. Both interfaces use the same English function names, comma argument separators, A1 references and invented values; the question wording and explanations are bilingual. Tasks use selected common Excel 2021/Microsoft 365 behaviour, with the Freeze Panes task explicitly for Windows. Follow each stated condition, including stored types, exact matching and the precision setting. No Excel file is required. Finish all 24 choices to view every selected answer, key and worked explanation. Using a reference is welcome for learning; an unaided count and an assisted count describe different conditions.

All questions and full results are free, with no signup. Saving is optional; only saved attempts can be resumed after a refresh or language change. Tab drafts expire after 24 hours and clear on completion or retake.
What would this formula return, and what would that command change? Work through 24 independently written Excel knowledge and scenario questions, six in each of four sections. Small invented tables, explicit assumptions and worked answers let you inspect the reasoning. Complete all choices to see your count for this bank and every explanation, with all four public revision guides available before or after practice. There is no timer, file upload or live spreadsheet simulation. This limited recognition exercise does not certify practical Excel ability or assign beginner-to-expert tiers.
Every section has a public revision guide. Completing the practice shows every guide and item explanation without assigning a type by score. Public guides contain no personal responses or counts; studying before practice is welcome. This is not a secure exam.
Review range sums, arithmetic order, relative and mixed references, sheet names and explicit error handling.
Practise IF boundaries, COUNTIF, SUMIF, exact VLOOKUP, INDEX with MATCH and a genuinely missing key.
Review whole-record sorting, combined filtering, text identifiers, numeric types, ASCII trimming and duplicate comparison columns.
Review numeric display, percentages, PivotTable sums, freezing panes, specified chart geometry and worksheet protection.
No. This is a fixed original knowledge and scenario practice set. Selecting a correct option does not demonstrate live workbook operations. It gives correct counts and worked explanations, without a Microsoft qualification, ability tier, hiring cutoff or job recommendation.
There are six tasks each on formulas and references, conditions and lookup, data handling and checks, and presentation and summaries. They cover selected common Excel 2021/Microsoft 365 behaviour. Macros, Power Query, advanced modelling and a complete real workbook assessment are outside this bank.
Both interfaces retain English function names, comma separators, A1 references and the same values so the stated formulas stay stable. Instructions and explanations are bilingual. Your local Excel may require translated names or another separator; no cross-language measurement equivalence is established.
Yes. Finish all 24 valid choices to see every selected answer, key and explanation. All four complete public guides are readable before starting too. No account, email, payment, file upload or certificate purchase is required.
There is no timer. Around ten minutes is an editorial estimate. Retake uses the same fixed 24 questions, not a new calibrated form. After reading the explanations, choose a fresh invented example for revision; a better repeat count can reflect memory.
Choices are scored in the browser. Optional tab drafts expire after 24 hours and clear on completion, exit-and-clear or retake; without a draft, refresh loses progress. Sharing copies a public practice link without answers, correctness counts or private identifiers.
Each matching answer contributes one correct item; each other valid choice contributes zero. Four groups of six add to a correct count out of 24. There is no time bonus, weighting, reverse scoring or penalty. All 24 valid answers are required before the result; omitted items are not silently filled or treated as a completed attempt.
Your report shows each question, your selected option, the correct option and a worked explanation. A count such as 3/6 means three matching keys on those six selected tasks; it is not a percentile or a certified Excel level. Zero, partial and perfect results show all four complete revision guides. Choose a new exercise from the exact distinction you missed rather than treating the total as a job verdict.
This original edition does not execute Excel, inspect a file, assess macros or certify practical spreadsheet work. No beginner, intermediate, advanced or expert cutoffs, hiring recommendation, Microsoft qualification or population norm are supplied. The same fixed bank appears on retake, so memory and checking aids can affect the count. The ten-minute duration is an editorial estimate, not a measured human timing benchmark.
FermatMind wrote the questions, fictional values, alternatives, explanations and guides. Selected Microsoft Support pages establish function and command behaviour; their examples and exercise banks are not reproduced. Excel is a Microsoft product name, and this independent practice is not Microsoft-endorsed or a Microsoft certification. Localised function names, separators and interface details can differ, so use the documentation for your installed version in real work.
