Original four-overlap exploration · Full results free
A free Ikigai Test: 16 original scenarios, four full overlap guides and every highest tie. Explore questions without ability, income or purpose verdicts.
16 questions · about 5 minutes · no signup
Treat each item as a small hypothetical situation. Choose the pair of questions you would most like to explore first now, without claiming an existing skill or payment. Select one option per item. All sixteen selections produce counts and the full guide for every highest-count tie; four equal counts of four do not establish an ideal centre. You can exit if no option fits; incomplete attempts are not interpreted. No activity name, income, others’ needs or private experience is entered.

A small activity may make you want to practise something, understand a person’s need or explore support arrangements. This edition uses Passion, Mission, Profession and Vocation, four familiar overlaps from a modern map, for sixteen original hypothetical situations asking which questions you would explore first. Enjoyment is not proficiency, and payment conditions establish neither income nor a market; choosing a question cannot turn those unknowns into facts. The map is not equivalent to the broader everyday Japanese concept: relationships, hobbies and small activities can matter without becoming one paid role. This is neither a traditional formula, standard Ikigai9 nor career-capability measurement. Every highest tie receives its full guide, without an ideal centre inferred from four equal counts or prescribed neglected circles. All four guides are free to read before deciding to answer.
Each of sixteen items offers four exploration questions assigned to four modern overlap lenses. One choice adds one count to its lens. Every lens appears in all sixteen items, four times in each option position, with zero reversals. Counts range from 0–16 and are neither love, ability, need or payment scales nor percentages. Only a complete attempt compares counts, retaining the full guide for every highest tie without a fixed-order winner or secondary type. Choosing A throughout produces four counts of four and four full guides, not an ideal centre, satisfied circles or established life purpose. Unselected lenses do not establish neglected conditions, and a one-count gap has no validated psychological meaning. Retake differences prove no stable change. Incomplete or invalid input is not interpreted.
Each nine-section guide covers meaning, what was selected, examples, optional exploration, comparisons, counterexamples, source scope, full scoring and privacy. Every highest tie remains without extra items, guessed motives or fixed-order elimination.
Four familiar overlaps are limited lenses from a modern map, not Japanese personalities or levels of life value. The circles are not independently measured, so fewer selections establish no missing ability, income or need.
Read all 4 complete public result guides below. They contain no private attempts. Every highest-count tie gets its full report, and you can compare other results before answering.
Explore enjoyment alongside something you would like to practise. This lens certifies neither existing skill, flow nor a need to monetise a hobby.
Consider an activity you enjoy alongside needs people have expressed, without inferring virtue, empathy, proven impact or an obligation to give without limits.
Explore practice, samples, delivery and payment conditions together, without certifying skill, market recognition, financial stability or suitability for a role.
Explore expressed needs alongside payment, support and scope. Vocation is a familiar map label, not a destined role, reliable personality or proven contribution.
No. It compares which questions you would explore first in hypothetical situations, without measuring ability, income, demand, contribution, career fit, health or lifespan.
No. The creator describes combining a modern purpose map with the word ikigai. The broader concept can include small activities, hobbies and relationships without a paid role combining four circles.
Every highest tie gets its full guide. Choosing A throughout gives four counts of four and four full guides, without certifying an ideal centre or a found purpose.
All four full guides are free without another assessment. No income, activity names, others’ needs or private accounts are entered; sharing carries no answers or counts.
These sixteen original hypothetical situations use four familiar overlaps from a modern map to organise questions, not a Japanese traditional formula, Ikigai9 instrument, ability test or career match. The creator’s account and cultural feature supply background without validating items or individual results. No diagram, competitor bank, guide text or strong job matches are copied. Relationships, hobbies and small activities can matter without paid work. Full text is free without another assessment. Drafts require opt-in, stay on this device for twenty-four hours and clear on completion, exit or retake; declining storage does not prevent completion. Sharing contains the test name, matched guide names and public links, never answers or counts. No activity name, income, others’ needs or private experience is collected.
