Read each statement as a description of how you generally are now, not how you wish to be. Rate its accuracy from 1, Very Inaccurate, to 5, Very Accurate; the middle response is neither accurate nor inaccurate. You can choose an unscored response, but any such item means no total, mean or personal band is generated. All public guides remain available. Scoring appears only after all ten selections.

How do you describe yourself in conversation, gatherings and situations involving attention? This Introvert or Extrovert Test uses the ten-item Extraversion scale from the public-domain IPIP Big-Five Factor Markers, keeping five positively and five negatively keyed items. Chinese wording is independently translated here. It explores one continuous dimension, not a full Big Five inventory or MBTI I/E. Read all four guides first and, after answering, see your actual total and mean rather than a percentage of extroversion or a population rank.
Five positive items use responses of 1–5; five negative items use 6 minus the response. Add all ten for a total of 10–50. Dividing by ten gives a mean of 1–5 for convenient reading. The keys are not separate introversion and extraversion scales and generate no percentage, population percentile or remaining Big Five traits.
This edition uses 10–19 for the introvert side, 21–29 for lower-middle, 31–39 for upper-middle and 41–50 for the extrovert side. At exactly 20, 30 or 40, both adjacent full reports remain. These points correspond to response means of two, three and four. They are website display conventions, not official IPIP type cutoffs, population groups or confidence intervals.
Only ten valid ratings produce a total and reading band. Unscored items are not imputed with zero or a midpoint, and a nine-item sum is not presented as ten. A middle total may reflect moderate ratings, mixed responses or the same rating across opposite-keyed statements, rather than proficiency at both ends. Items do not directly assess recovery energy, empathy, occupational skill or clinical symptoms.
Four full public guides help read one continuous dimension, rather than fixed personality categories. All ten ratings are required for a personal score; at a reading boundary, both adjacent full reports appear. Public pages contain no personal answers or scores.
The introvert side here means a lower reading band after the ten extraversion statements are keyed and summed. It establishes neither a fixed identity, social ability, loneliness nor recovery time after company.
This reading lies on the lower side of the response-scale midpoint. A middle total may come from moderate ratings or a mixture of higher and lower responses. It does not establish effortless social switching across settings.
This reading lies on the higher side of the response-scale midpoint, with somewhat more endorsement of extraverted descriptions. It establishes neither social stamina, adaptability, popularity nor ease in every group.
The extrovert side here means a higher reading band after the ten extraversion statements are keyed and summed. It does not establish social skill, health, happiness, leadership or how much other people like you.
No. It shows the total, mean and website reading bands after keying ten self-ratings. Introvert, extrovert and middle are reading labels rather than certification of discrete personalities. There is no percentage of extroversion, population rank or judgment of who is better.
Five negatively keyed items use 6 minus the response and five use the response itself. Their sum ranges from 10 to 50; the mean is the total divided by ten. Any unscored item produces explicit insufficient information, without a total, band, zero substitution or midpoint imputation.
This edition places reading boundaries at response means of two, three and four: totals of 20, 30 and 40. At a boundary, both adjacent complete reports remain. These are not official IPIP cutoffs, population quantiles or error estimates. Chance, extra questions and payment do not resolve an identity.
That inference is unsupported. Moderate ratings, mixed ratings and even the same extreme response to positive and negative statements can produce middle totals. Adaptability is not assessed. A middle reading is not a third fixed personality category and says nothing about gender or sexuality.
They are different tasks. This page is a single IPIP extraversion reflection; MBTI preferences, a five-trait profile and social demands/recovery each use their own questions and scoring. Existing Big Five and MBTI forms require separate full attempts. This score supplies neither letters, the other traits nor social stamina.
All ten items, scoring and four complete guides are free, without email or a preceding assessment. Only opting in saves a 24-hour tab draft; completion, clearing or retaking deletes it. Sharing includes names and public links, never answers, totals, means or internal IDs. Blocked storage or copying does not prevent continuation or manual sharing.
IPIP places its items, scales and inventories in the public domain, permitting commercial use and translation. This edition retains the ten English items and keying with an independent Chinese translation. Website bands, missing handling and explanations do not inherit source research validity; this edition has no local norms or established cross-language equivalence. No competitor reports, celebrity types or career matches are copied.
The existing 90/120-question Big Five forms explore five traits and further facets; this page only offers a focused ten-item extraversion reflection. It supplies no full OCEAN profile or MBTI type, and Social Battery requires its own questions about demands and recovery. All items, raw scores, four public reports and boundary matches are free without signup. Answers are scored in the browser; only opting in saves a 24-hour tab draft, and sharing omits answers and counts.
