Original practice bank · All explanations and revision guides free
Practise 30 original lever, gear, pulley, spring and fluid tasks. Get worked answers and five full guides, free. Untimed; no norm or hiring band.
30 questions · about 18 minutes · no signup
Answer 30 original four-option questions, six per topic. Each has one checked answer under its explicit ideal assumptions, units, force directions and viewing side. One correct adds one; another valid choice adds zero. There is no timer, guessing penalty, partial credit or speed adjustment. Paper, sketches and a calculator are allowed. Complete all items to get every worked answer and all five full guides. Eighteen minutes is an editorial estimate, not observed completion data.

This edition uses original word-and-number tasks about ideal moments, external gears, stated supporting rope segments, linear springs and stationary or ideal confined fluids. It provides practice with the model in each question, rather than a measurement of hands-on machine operation. All scenarios, options, explanations and guides are independently written. Correctness is checked through exact arithmetic, force balance and explicit direction reversals. There is no electronics section, visual-rotation score, employer comparison, percentile, intelligence estimate or certification. The five guides are revision topics that every complete attempt receives together.
Every section has a public revision guide. Completing the practice shows every guide and item explanation without assigning a type by score. Public guides contain no personal responses or counts; studying before practice is welcome. This is not a secure exam.
Review perpendicular arms, pivot choice, several loads and ideal force advantage with worked examples. Original practice; no equipment or job certification.
Work through tooth ratios, external-mesh reversals, idlers and ideal torque. Clear assumptions and complete examples; no hiring band.
Understand equal tensions, rope travel, ideal work and included block weight with full examples. A paper exercise, not an operating certificate.
Review Hooke’s law, natural length, unit conversion and static balance with full worked examples. No material test or equipment qualification.
Work through depth pressure, surface pressure, hydraulic force and displaced volume. Full examples and score limits, without a job or ability band.
Yes. All 30 original tasks require choosing a checked answer under the stated model. Every answer, explanation and all five full guides are free, without signup, email or payment.
No. It is an untimed original practice. There is no employer equivalence, hiring pass line, norm, percentile, intelligence estimate or operating certificate.
Five topics have six items each: levers, external gears, pulleys, linear springs and fluids. Each problem states the ideal conditions it needs. There is no electronics section, apparatus trial or diagram-based spatial assessment.
Yes. Sketch directions, track units and use a calculator. There is no speed adjustment. Most keys use exact given values; choose the offered exact result rather than inventing an unstated rounding rule.
No. A count records the answers on this fixed bank. Read the particular question and rationale before choosing revision. Familiarity and memory may affect retakes, so improvement here does not establish training transfer or workplace performance.
Progress can be saved by an explicit opt-in in this browser tab for 24 hours, using this edition. Completion, clear or retake removes that draft. Sharing copies only the public title and URL, without answers or a private score.
A massless lever does not acquire an unstated beam weight. A simple external-gear chain does not become a compound shaft. Supporting rope segments are explicitly given, springs remain in their stated linear range, and hydraulic pistons use the stated relative height and loss assumptions. These choices make the written answer checkable; they do not establish real material limits or equipment settings.
Every valid complete attempt shows total correct out of 30 and five counts out of six. All choices must be valid before a report appears; a missing answer is not silently counted wrong. Zero, partial and perfect scores open the same 30 worked answers and all five full guides. The public topic pages are not private attempts or score bands, and a total cannot diagnose why a particular mistake happened.
Keep mass in kilograms distinct from force in newtons, centimetres distinct from metres, and fluid-column pressure increments distinct from absolute pressure. For a fresh example, 950 kg/m³ liquid under g = 10 N/kg at depth 0.80 m adds 7600 Pa. With surface pressure 100000 Pa, absolute pressure becomes 107600 Pa. A question asking only the increment needs the former quantity.
FermatMind independently wrote these tasks and guides from elementary mechanics facts, without copying competitor items, textbook exercises or figures. Exact rational arithmetic and a separate literal-integer implementation check the 28 numeric keys; two direction keys use explicit external-mesh parity. This verifies the stated ideal mathematics, not measured apparatus, universal wording validity, expert-panel agreement or a psychometric scale. References explain the underlying facts and do not endorse this bank.
