Licensed MFQ-2 items · Six full guides free
Take the 36-item MFQ-2 with the authors’ English wording or a clearly identified working Chinese translation. Read six separate means and full guides without political labels.
36 questions · about 7 minutes · no signup
For each statement, indicate how well it describes you or your opinions using the five source anchors, from Does not describe me at all (1) to Describes me extremely well (5). There is no fixed recent time period in this source instruction. No response is preselected, and there is no correct answer. A statement records an opinion rather than advice to act, judge someone or choose a treatment. The separate NA lets you decline or retain a position the item cannot express. All thirty-six items need selections; in this website presentation each foundation needs all six valid ratings for its own mean. The added NA and complete-six rule are not claimed to be the source authors’ validated missing-data procedure. Saving is optional in this tab.

This edition uses the authors’ public 36-item Moral Foundations Questionnaire-2 (MFQ-2), with six items each for Care, Equality, Proportionality, Loyalty, Authority and Purity. It is a describes-me questionnaire, not the competitor’s six-scale moral-violation scenarios containing Liberty or the earlier five-foundation MFQ. Equality and Proportionality are separate concerns, not opposite ends of a single axis. The English bank is fixed to the authors’ document; Chinese is a FermatMind working translation with modifications identified below. Six separate means describe these self-reported opinions. They do not rank moral worth, assign parties or identify a person’s politics. All six full guides remain free, including without a personal score.
The selected MFQ-2 has thirty-six direct one-to-five describes-me items. Care uses items 1, 7, 13, 19, 25, 31; Equality 2, 8, 14, 20, 26, 32; Proportionality 3, 9, 15, 21, 27, 33; Loyalty 4, 10, 16, 22, 28, 34; Authority 5, 11, 17, 23, 29, 35; Purity 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36. Each complete group has a raw sum of six to thirty; divide its unrounded sum by six and display the mean to two decimals. A sum of nineteen gives 3.166666…, displayed as 3.17. There is no hidden weight or global moral total.
All thirty-six items need a selection. This website requires all six valid ratings within a foundation before showing its personal sum and mean; any NA withholds only that foundation. This added response and completeness rule are website presentation choices, not an original validated missing-data rule. Valid low or middle responses remain different from missing information. The result shows all six complete guides, including higher, lower, mixed and insufficient readings, exact worked examples and counterexamples. There are no moral ranks, party or politician matches, highest-foundation identities, cutoffs or population percentiles.
MFQ-2 items are by Atari, Haidt, Graham, Koleva, Stevens and Dehghani, used under the authors’ OSF project CC BY 4.0 licence with attribution, source links and change notices. English follows the public document, including its item 27 wording difference from the preprint. FermatMind’s working Chinese preserves the selected English referents and is not an official translation or established measurement-equivalent edition. Source research does not automatically validate our new translation, NA display or interpretations. Licensed items and this translation carry no extra downstream restriction from website terms. Full explanations are separately authored by FermatMind Editorial, and sharing contains no personal answers or means.
Read what each of the 6 parts explores. Your complete result presents them together; they are not mutually exclusive personality types. These public guides contain no one’s answers or personal means.
The six Care items concern compassion, emotional suffering, comfort and attention to another person’s needs. Their mean summarizes how well these statements describe you or your opinions. It does not count kind acts or certify how ethically you behave.
The six Equality items emphasize equal income, equal resources and equal sharing of a collective reward. This MFQ-2 foundation is distinct from Proportionality. Its mean describes endorsement of the offered statements rather than settling every question about fairness.
These six items concern rewarding work, recognizing merit and responding to cheating. They describe a particular account of fairness based on contribution. The mean neither measures your productivity nor establishes what anyone deserves in an actual allocation.
The six Loyalty items refer to country, community and a sports team. Their mean describes identification with the stated loyalty concerns. It does not measure citizenship, patriotism as a whole, personal faithfulness or willingness to defend every action by an ingroup.
The six Authority items concern tradition, parents, elders, teaching respect and a strong leader. The mean describes how well those statements fit your opinions. It does not determine whether any real authority is legitimate or whether you should obey a particular instruction.
These six items refer to sacredness of the body, chastity, language, an unusual but harmless sexual preference, natural medicines and virginity before marriage. The mean describes responses to those statements. It is not a measure of hygiene, disease, treatment quality or moral worth.
The authors’ thirty-six-item MFQ-2 English document with a clearly marked FermatMind working Chinese translation. It measures self-described Care, Equality, Proportionality, Loyalty, Authority and Purity. It is not the competitor’s six-scale scenarios containing Liberty or the earlier five-foundation MFQ.
All thirty-six items are directly keyed from one to five. Average the six source-key items within each foundation using the unrounded sum. The display has six separate means without a combined total, highest-type assignment or higher-order individualizing/binding score.
Three is the middle response code, not a population average or proof of moderate morality. Different combinations of strong and weak responses can produce the same mean. Review the specific statements and full guide rather than treating a decimal as a fixed moral identity.
The source instructions provide five describes-me anchors. Our additional NA and complete-six requirement are explicit website presentation rules, not a claimed validated missing-data procedure. They preserve a declined or unrepresented position without inventing a neutral response; other complete foundations remain available.
No. It is a FermatMind working translation of the selected author English document, with modifications identified and the separate author Chinese file retained as a research comparison. Original research does not establish equivalence for this new translation or website presentation.
No. The means describe responses to these statements. There are no party, politician, religious-group or political-message matches, moral-worth ranks, diagnoses or voting predictions. All questions and six full guides are free; optional tab drafts clear on completion or retake, and copied links omit private responses and means.
These sources provide background, not validation of this questionnaire or an individual diagnosis.
