A historical-role image for a current activity preference, not an actual former life or skill verdict.
Compare a personal layout and two impressions, separating Song printing history from present preference. No former life, cultural identity or accuracy is certified.
Choose one option for all 24 questions; each adds one to its activity image and counts always sum to 24. A question offers four of eight themes. Every theme appears 12 times and three times in each position; the four absent themes are not counted as rejected. Raw counts describe relative activity choices, not former-life probabilities, soul proportions, actual skills or population ranks. Every highest count retains its full guide. Choosing the first option throughout gives three each and displays all eight. List order establishes no priority, automatic second role or mixed identity. A one-choice gap proves neither significance, absent qualities nor a real life affiliation. Compare close counts without inventing untied conclusions. Context and time may change choices. There are no norms, rare roles or scientific cutoffs.
Historical context and this edition’s role image
The Asian Art Museum’s account describes Tang–Song woodblock printing and Song movable type, including layouts, paper and repeated impressions. This edition selects layouts and impressions for a Song Printer image, without making a technology the personality of a whole period or people, or identifying you as a former printer. Historical context validates neither this quiz’s choices, counts nor psychological interpretation.
Reading counts through current interests
A highest count means you more often chose repeated layouts, comparisons between impressions or readable identification of each copy. What should remain the same, where can variation appear and should sources or occasions be marked? Fewer choices may reflect individual vessels or open sketches rather than carelessness, disinterest in knowledge or poor order. The questionnaire does not measure actual quality.
An ordinary low-stakes example
Arrange a greeting you wrote yourself on paper and make two diagrams by copying or handwriting, identifying their shared invented layout. Compare position, spacing and variation without blades, printing equipment or chemical materials. This is a modern paper observation rather than a reconstruction of Song technique. Familiarity with it establishes neither a former life nor inherited knowledge of an actual craft.
A possible way to express the preference
You might say, “These come from one layout, and I’d like to compare repetition and variation.” Check permission and attribution for others’ text or work rather than copying because of a role. Only look, make nothing or retain differences if preferred. The image demands neither endless consistency, unlimited proofreading nor responsibility for guaranteeing another person’s accuracy or understanding.
Comparisons with the other seven activities
Printer concerns one layout appearing repeatedly, Scribe a written record and Workshop an undecided composition. A print can develop from a draft without making those choices equivalent. Potter concerns vessels, Weaver interlacing, Trader exchange, Chartmaker routes and Natural-History observed labels. These rank neither advancement nor cultures and convert into no Jungian archetype, MBTI, learning type or occupational qualification.
Counterexamples, actual experience and skill
A fixed layout may be a software default or work requirement rather than preference; enjoying variation need not prevent good repeated work. Printing, care, historical knowledge, literacy and dissemination outcomes are not tested, with no accuracy rate or craft rank. Song techniques and labour involved specific conditions. A limited paper activity replaces no historical study or requirement to adopt past restrictions.
An optional observation
If useful, take a sentence you wrote and may use freely, set a layout and retain two diagrams with one repetition and one difference marked. Compare existing material of your own instead if preferred. Notice interest in this layout activity without judging worth by consistency, recovering past memories or certifying precision, cultural identity or a suitable choice of work.

Original edition, background sources and scope
This is an independently authored FermatMind historical-activity imagination quiz. Past life labels optional role images rather than identifying an actual former life, soul, memory, birthday, ancestry, ethnicity, religion, gender or class. The Met, Asian Art Museum, Getty, Viking Ship Museum, Royal Museums Greenwich and Natural History Museum check selected object and activity backgrounds without validating this mapping, counts or psychology. Context establishes no personality of a whole period or culture and justifies no coercion, enslavement, colonialism or inequality. All 24 items, options, explanations, scenes, examples and rules are original. No JobCannon 12-item bank, competitor result text, code, algorithm, museum art image, protected translation or modern-person type assignment is used. This is neither regression, memory suggestion, diagnosis nor treatment, explains no fear or trauma and certifies no wisdom, talent, skill, morality, health or career. It converts into no Jungian, MBTI or other personality result and has no psychometric validation.
