Original self-reflection questionnaire · Full results free
Reflect on intimacy, passion and decision/commitment through 15 original statements. Read all three full guides free, with separate means and no assigned love type.
15 questions · about 5 minutes · no signup
Choose one current romantic relationship, or your most recent significant one. Keep that same relationship in mind and recall the past four weeks, or its final four weeks if it has ended. Rate how well each statement describes your own experience, using 1–5. This four-week window is editorial. Use unscored when irrelevant, inaccessible, uncertain or something you do not wish to answer. You do not need to have sexual experiences, reveal private information or contact anyone. All fifteen recognised choices, including unscored, can finish. Three groups remain separate; no love type, triangle area or partner compatibility is assigned.

Sternberg’s triangular theory distinguishes intimacy, passion and decision/commitment. FermatMind wrote this new fifteen-item reflection and all three complete guides with that framework as background. It is not the original Triangular Love Scale, an author-endorsed short form or a validated relationship assessment. The three descriptive means do not measure love in common units, rank partners or predict what will happen. All guides are public and free before and after answering.
Each group has five original 1–5 statements and no reverse items. Add five numeric ratings, divide by five and display one decimal; 18/5 is 3.6. No total, largest-component winner, triangle area, relationship match or type is calculated. The groups have not been calibrated as common psychological units.
One unscored response withholds only its group’s mean. Missing is not zero and is not estimated; other complete groups retain their means, and all-unscored can finish. Equal means remain equal without proving balanced love, while a small difference has no established significance. Sexual attraction that is irrelevant to you is not scored as low love.
The theoretical combinations are nonlove, liking, infatuated love, empty love, romantic love, companionate love, fatuous love and consummate love. Sternberg describes these as limiting cases that real relationships rarely match purely. This new item set applies no thresholds to assign them and inherits no TLS reliability, norms or validity. The four-week recall and five-complete rule are editorial.
Read what each of the 3 parts explores. Your complete result presents them together; they are not mutually exclusive personality types. These public guides contain no one’s answers or personal means.
Understand five original intimacy statements, an exact mean, a conversation example and the difference between emotional closeness, passion and future intention.
Read five original attraction prompts, exact scoring, a consent-aware example and the difference between romantic excitement and a verdict about love.
Read five original statements about calling a feeling love and intending to continue, with exact scoring, a planning conversation and the right to reconsider.
No. These fifteen items and three full readings are original to FermatMind, informed by the three-component theory. They are not TLS items, an endorsed short form or an independently validated scale.
None is assigned. The eight names are theoretical limiting combinations. Three means remain separate, without thresholds, a winner, triangle area or compatibility percentage.
Use unscored. Only the passion group’s mean becomes insufficient; every complete guide stays available. This never implies low love, a sexual-orientation conclusion or a defect.
No. A stated intention is not a duty, a guarantee or another person’s agreement. You may reconsider, refuse contact, protect privacy or leave an unsafe situation without a test’s permission.
There are no established partner-comparison norms, change thresholds or Chinese–English equivalence findings for this new edition. Each attempt is a self-report, not evidence of another person’s feelings or a relationship prediction.
All fifteen items and three complete guides are free without signup. Only optional tab drafts restore progress; completion clears them. Copying includes a public title and URL, never answers or means.
Answers are processed in this page. Only an opt-in tab draft can restore progress after a refresh or language change; it expires after twenty-four hours and clears on completion, reset or exit-and-clear. Sharing uses only a public title and URL. A result never authorises disclosure, contact, physical intimacy or remaining in an unsafe relationship.
