Nearly finished can still be missing a small piece.
The cards are ready but a starting marker is absent, or a finished page has no usable link. Explore a missing piece, a workable ending and the difference between an omission and a deliberate smaller scope.
Complete all twelve choices before any personal count or reading appears. Each selected option adds one count to its stated theme. Each theme is offered eight times, twice in each answer position; its absence from another item is not a rejection. All counts add to twelve and every highest count keeps its complete guide. The denominator eight is exposure in this bank, not an error rate. There are no IQ points, population ranks, fixed primary or secondary types, or validated meanings for a one-choice gap.
What was needed but did not arrive?
This theme groups examples where a small needed part is absent: a room number, an index card, a closing tab or a link. Much of the task may already be complete. The count does not establish how often you omit things, whether you intended a delay or why this particular piece was missing.
The shelf is ready, the index is elsewhere
A book-swap shelf is neatly arranged, but its index cards were left behind. A friend asks how to find a title. The group can bring the cards or agree a simpler temporary label. The immediate question is what makes this afternoon’s shelf usable, rather than who deserves a general label for being organised or disorganised.
Smaller can be the agreed plan
Leaving out an optional decoration is not an omission when the group chose a simpler display. A link is unnecessary if people are reading a printed page. Ask what the actual task required before calling something missing. The quiz cannot recover that context from a familiar-looking example or turn your selection into a complete record of an event.
A missing part beside the other five themes
Wrong Target sends an available piece elsewhere; Wrong Version supplies an earlier copy. Done Twice adds a repeated contribution, while Mixed-up Amount changes how much there is. Unspoken Handoff concerns an unclarified responsibility. A missing part can occur alongside any of them, but each option in this bank receives one stated mapping for transparent arithmetic.
Define one usable ending
For a harmless private paper project, name the few pieces needed for a usable first version. Include how someone would open or use it, rather than only how it looks. Compare the finished toy example with that short list. Keep the list only if it helps; a longer checklist is not automatically a better one.
One repair does not define a person
Adding the missing card may be enough. Someone else may supply a detail because the work was shared, not because the original maker failed. This result cannot judge motivation, memory or completion ability. It also cannot decide responsibility for an actual problem; use the real agreement and circumstances instead of treating the count as evidence against somebody.

Original entertainment edition and private choices
FermatMind wrote these twelve situations, six editorial themes and complete guides for entertainment. The categories describe the examples you selected, not a cause, ability, diagnosis or judgment of a person’s worth. They are not a validated instrument or a universal classification of mistakes. Answers stay in this browser flow; only an explicitly saved tab draft is kept for up to twenty-four hours and is removed on completion, retake or exit-and-clear. Optional copying uses public result names and a public link, without answers or counts.
