12 original task contexts · Three full guides free
Review twelve recent task instances and their support contexts. See three separate records and complete guides, without career tiers or ability scores.
12 questions · about 4 minutes · no signup
Choose one current or recent role and consider the past twelve weeks. Paid work, volunteering or a study project can provide the context. For each prompt, recall one concrete instance; if several apply, use the most recent. Select your main responsibility in that instance: working with step-by-step guidance, owning your task with agreed checkpoints, or supporting another person’s task. These can overlap in real work and are not ordered levels. Use the fourth choice if there is no relevant instance, you cannot assess it or you prefer not to answer. No names, employer details or work materials are requested.

Choose one role and describe your main responsibility in recent concrete instances. See every chosen context and three complete public readings. The original inventory does not verify skills, rank career stages or assess hiring eligibility.

The first three choices describe your main responsibility in the selected instance. Someone can support a colleague while needing guidance elsewhere. Agreed review and escalation can be appropriate at any experience level. The fourth choice is a separate non-assessment category, never a zero or an inference about ability.
Count each selected category once within its four-task group. For example, guided + owned + supported + na gives 1, 1, 1, 1; the four counts always sum to four. All four tasks need a choice. There is no numeric weight, sum of ability, mean, winning context, threshold or overall level. Groups remain in a fixed order; equal counts do not establish equal experience or performance.
Read the complete guides to clarifying problems, checking delivery and contributing with others before answering or after any response pattern. Twelve non-assessment choices still produce all three readings and the twelve chosen records. The public guides describe task contexts; they are not personal beginner, intermediate or expert reports.
The page only needs category choices and calculates the record locally. Progress stays in memory unless you explicitly save a tab draft. A saved draft expires after twenty-four hours and clears on completion, retake or exit-and-clear. Public links contain no choices or counts. Ordinary page analytics are disabled; optional anonymous activity counts require separate explicit opt-in. Do not enter work documents, client identities or private performance feedback.
OPM’s competency explanation and USA Staffing rating examples provide conceptual background about tasks, experience and support. OPM also ties proficiency decisions to analysis of specific positions. This twelve-prompt inventory, its four categories and three readings are original FermatMind content, not an OPM instrument, translation or endorsement. No psychometric validation, norms, career-stage calibration or employment assessment is claimed. Existing Skills Audit and Work Behavior Reflection remain separate tools with their own methods.
These are public explanations, not anyone's private attempt. Full reports cover all 3 single directions and every tied combination. Reading one does not affect your score.
Explore unclear requests, alternative approaches, incomplete information and changed assumptions through four task records.
Review acceptance criteria, output limits, escalation and changed delivery conditions without turning autonomy into a proficiency score.
Explore explaining work, resolving expectations, supporting another person and recording a reusable lesson through four concrete task contexts.
No. It records participation contexts in one selected role. The same person can need detailed guidance for one task, own another and support someone else on a third. No universal career tier is assigned.
Recall one concrete instance, using the most recent if several apply, and choose your main responsibility in that instance. Owning your output differs from supporting someone else’s output. If that distinction cannot be made, use the non-assessment choice; the record does not require a flattering or certain answer.
Each group shows its four category counts and item records, including non-assessment. No missing experience is converted into a low score. All three full public guides remain available.
These original self-reports have no established hiring validity or common difficulty standard. Responsibilities, permission, review and opportunity differ across roles. They cannot certify performance, decide promotion or match people to jobs.
Yes. Choose one specific role and the past twelve weeks, without merging unrelated settings into one career claim. If no relevant instance is available, use the non-assessment option.
Skills Audit records the recency of task examples; Work Behavior Reflection records the frequency of selected behaviors. This inventory records the participation and support context of an instance. None verifies the quality of performance, and taking another test is optional.
