What does this quiz explore?
A floating library has asked your party to retrieve a missing page. There is no battle and no right answer: the story asks how you make an uncertain expedition work. These are original roles, with no franchise characters or real-world career matching.
Your preferred contribution when a fictional team must navigate, protect its resources, and improvise.
How is your result decided?
Each option adds its declared points to a portrait. The highest total leads; ties show every leading portrait in the authored order. No result is drawn at random. Points belong only to this quiz, not a psychological scale or population ranking.
Every question, full portrait, example, and small experiment is free. Answers are evaluated in your browser, never sent to a server or put in the URL. Tab-session saving is optional, expires after 24 hours, and is not reused after a quiz-version change. It clears on completion, exit-and-clear, or retake. You can still finish on this page if storage is unavailable.
Meet the possible portraits
These are public portrait introductions, not anyone’s personal answers or result. No portrait is superior; different situations may bring out different sides.
Route Scout
Your party contribution is orientation. You want to learn what lies ahead, distinguish a promising route from a distracting one, and leave signs others can use. The scout is curious with a purpose: helping the team know where it is going.
Ward Keeper
You keep the expedition possible by caring for its limits. In this story, protection means shared signals, rest, and resources people can rely on. You are not the party’s parent; you help it agree on conditions that let everyone participate.
Spell Tinkerer
You see tools as starting points rather than finished answers. Your party role is to combine, test, and adapt when the standard method does not fit. This portrait celebrates playful experimentation, without claiming that improvising makes every idea safe or effective.
