A description of selected experiences, not an identity
Read the specific statements, their context and missing information. Five separate readings remain open without assigning an orientation or type.
Three numeric ratings required; raw sum / 3. Agreement with the statements, not an attraction count, probability or population rank.
Variety of qualities, without a direction label
This part asks about attraction to people with markedly different qualities, an experience outside a previous usual pattern and a varied rather than uniform set of appealing qualities. A higher mean records agreement with those statements during the selected year. The form does not ask which genders or categories of people attract you, and its number cannot identify them. Breadth here is an original reflection on your own described experiences, not a Kinsey score, a Klein grid or a sexual-orientation classification.
Different qualities in different people
For example, two people might each feel sexually attractive to you for quite different qualities. Alternatively, a person outside a familiar pattern might become attractive while many other qualities remain familiar. This example does not require a relationship, an action or a description of the people involved. It also does not assume that appreciating a quality is necessarily sexual attraction. You decide whether the experience matches the wording and can choose unscored when the distinction is unclear.
Broader and narrower are not personal ranks
A higher mean does not make someone more open, adventurous, available or likely to act on an attraction. A lower mean does not establish loyalty, rigidity, selectiveness or a fixed identity. Attraction and chosen behaviour remain different, and a range of experiences creates no obligation to explore, disclose or change anything. The report assigns neither an explorer nor an anchored archetype. It describes agreement with three original statements without turning a memorable topic name into a judgement about your character.
Opportunity and missing experience matter
A year with few suitable experiences may provide little basis for describing a range. Do not treat a lack of comparisons as proof that attraction is narrow or absent. One unscored answer withholds this part’s mean because all three numeric ratings are required. Even a complete set does not adjust for social opportunity, memory or how broadly you understood a quality. Different people’s averages therefore do not provide an evidence-based ranking of their sexuality or a fair comparison of life experience.
A varied range may also stay familiar
Breadth does not automatically mean change across time. A varied range may remain similar throughout the year, or a relatively narrow range may shift between contexts. The continuity and context parts remain separate for this reason. Romantic attraction can follow another pattern entirely. No combined mean or largest-score rule resolves these differences into a single type. The existing Mini reflection concerns noticing and describing feelings, labels and privacy; it is not a substitute for these experience statements and the scores do not convert.
Reflect without listing or categorising people
If it would help, think privately about whether two suitable experiences involved similar or different qualities. There is no need to list names, genders, body descriptions or private behaviour, and the website provides no field for them. You do not need to seek an unfamiliar experience to broaden a result or avoid one to preserve it. You can stop without choosing a label, discussing a score or deciding that any part should become more or less prominent in your life.
Three agreement ratings, with missing information retained
Use 1 Strongly Disagree, 2 Disagree, 3 Neutral, 4 Agree or 5 Strongly Agree. Three is a numeric neutral answer, not uncertainty or missing experience. Each part needs all three numeric ratings; its raw sum divided by three is displayed to one decimal. Ratings of one, two and four give seven divided by three, displayed as 2.3. Any unscored response withholds that part’s mean without zero, midpoint substitution or inference. All fifteen prompts need a response choice to finish, including unscored choices. No total, rank or dominant part is calculated.
An original reflection, not a standard orientation scale
These fifteen bilingual statements and five guides are original FermatMind content, without psychometric validation or population norms. AUREA and AVEN community resources inform the background distinction between romantic attraction, sexual attraction, identity, behaviour and arousal; their pages do not supply this bank or a scoring key. This is not an administration of Kinsey, Klein or another published instrument. Identity language remains your choice. Answers stay in current page memory, without saved drafts, quiz-flow statistics or personal-result sharing. Public guides remain available even when every part is unscored.
