ADEXI-14 self-report · Three full readings free
Answer the official ADEXI-14 self-report. Read the raw total, two part sums and means, with all three full guides free. No diagnostic cutoffs or signup.
14 questions · about 4 minutes · no signup
Read each statement and choose how well it describes you as a person, from 1 — Definitely not true to 5 — Definitely true. The source asks for your own view even when people who know you might think differently. No fixed recent recall period is added. The English and provided simplified-Chinese wording and anchors are retained. A separate prefer-not-to-answer choice is unscored: it withholds that part and the overall sum, while a complete other part remains available. Four minutes is an editorial estimate, without a timer.

This check-in uses the current official 14-item Adult Executive Functioning Inventory self-report, with English supplied by Lisa B. Thorell and simplified Chinese supplied by Angela Siu on the authors’ website. Its official key contains working memory and inhibition, rather than the competitor’s four-domain original questionnaire. The adopted colour-coded form specifies raw part sums and a fourteen-item total; a separate official key also supplies part means, shown with clear labels. All three complete readings are free. This website has not established its own validation or cross-language equivalence and applies no clinical cutoffs, neurotype mapping or ability rankings.
This uses the official ADEXI adult self-report, not CHEXI for children, TEXI for teenagers, an other-report form or a new translation. All fourteen English and supplied simplified-Chinese items retain their source wording and order. The provided Chinese version includes regional wording such as “睇电视” for watching television. Its presence on the authors’ website is not a claim of validation in every Chinese-speaking population.
Working memory uses items 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12 and 13: raw sum 9–45. Inhibition uses 3, 4, 6, 10 and 14: raw sum 5–25. The colour-coded source form adds all fourteen for a 14–70 total. The separate official key labels part means, so each complete part also shows its own sum divided by its own item count. No item is reversed, and the two means are not averaged to create a different total.
Larger sums or part means reflect more endorsement of difficulty statements. They do not mean stronger executive function. The raw part sums have different item counts and cannot identify a strongest or weakest capacity. No percentile, population average, clinical band, neurotype pattern or career-fit calculation is supplied. Self-report is not the same as performance on a memory or inhibition task.
A part needs all its numeric responses before its sum and mean appear; the overall total needs all fourteen. A skipped item withholds only its own part and the total, while a complete other part remains visible. Missing is not zero and is not estimated or prorated. All skip choices can complete the questionnaire. This is the website’s editorial policy, not a source-validated missing-data threshold.
The authors’ website supplies these existing language versions and states that author permission is not needed to use versions already available there. Source and translator attribution are retained; no public-domain status or endorsement is claimed. The English form and Angela Siu simplified-Chinese version follow the authors’ supplied materials. The three guides include worked examples and optional task observations. Persistent difficulties affecting daily life can be discussed in context with a qualified professional; the score does not choose a diagnosis or treatment.
These are public explanations, not anyone's private attempt. Full reports cover all 2 single directions and every tied combination. Reading one does not affect your score.
The ADEXI overall raw sum adds all 14 numeric responses. Larger values reflect more reported difficulties across its working-memory and inhibition items. This is not a measure of intelligence, personal worth or a neurotype.
The official working-memory group contains nine ADEXI items, including instructions, multistep activities, planning and finding another approach. Its sum and mean describe endorsed difficulty statements, rather than memory capacity measured on a task.
The official inhibition group contains five statements about acting before thinking, stopping preferred activities, laughter in an unsuitable setting and perceived liveliness. Larger values indicate more endorsement of these statements, without defining a disorder or character type.
The official 14-item ADEXI adult self-report in English and the supplied Angela Siu simplified-Chinese version, with the original wording, order and five response anchors retained.
The official colour-coded form labels raw part totals and an overall total. A separate official key labels part means for the same groups. Both are made explicit: sum the items and divide each part sum by its own count for its mean. Do not average the two means into a new total.
No. Larger values reflect more endorsement of difficulty statements. They do not measure IQ, observed capacity or personal worth, and no strongest-part ranking is produced.
No diagnostic cutoff or neurotype mapping is applied. A self-report score alone cannot identify a condition, select treatment or explain why difficulties occur. Consider persistent everyday difficulties in a broader context.
Its part and the overall sum are withheld; the other complete part remains visible. Missing is not zero or imputed. This strict complete-item rule is a website policy, not a validated missing-data threshold.
All fourteen items and all three full public guides are free without signup. Optional drafts stay in this tab for at most 24 hours and clear on completion or reset. Copying shares a public title and link, never answers or personal scores.
Uses the existing ADEXI adult self-report English and Angela Siu simplified-Chinese versions supplied on the authors’ website, retaining wording, order and five source anchors. The authors state that existing language versions may be used without author permission. Website completeness rules and guides do not imply author endorsement or cross-language validation.
