Original practice bank · All explanations and revision guides free
Try 24 original English grammar questions on verb forms, agreement, function words and punctuation. Every answer and four full review guides are free.
24 questions · about 10 minutes · no signup
Choose one answer for each of 24 original grammar tasks. Follow the requested standard written construction and any explicit constraint, such as keeping one sentence or naming the owner count. English stimuli and alternatives remain English in both interfaces; instructions and explanations are bilingual. Finish every item to see your selected options, keys, explanations and all four complete guides. No timer is used. If practising without help, save reference checks until afterwards; any aids or prior exposure can affect your count.

All questions and full results are free, with no signup. Saving is optional; only saved attempts can be resumed after a refresh or language change. Tab drafts expire after 24 hours and clear on completion or retake.
Practise 24 independently written English grammar tasks, six each on verb forms and time, agreement and reference, articles and function words, and punctuation and possession. The questions state their intended constructions so that another legitimate meaning or style choice is not silently treated as an error. Your report gives correct counts for this edition, every worked answer and four full revision guides at every count. It is not a calibrated language-level test, a free-writing mark, an exam conversion or a proofreading qualification.
Each matching key adds one; each incorrect choice adds zero. Four groups of six add to a count out of 24. All 24 valid choices are required before a result appears. There is no weighting, reverse scoring or speed bonus, and no missing response is silently filled in.
A count such as 3/6 refers to the six selected items under your practice conditions. It does not establish a general grammar-accuracy rate or predict how you will write an email. Zero, partial and perfect counts all show every answer and all four complete guides. Use the particular auxiliary, referent, sound or sentence boundary you missed to choose new practice.
This original fixed bank has no CEFR calibration, IELTS or TOEFL conversion, population norms, school grade, hiring cutoff or psychometric validation. It does not assess listening, speaking or spontaneous writing. Grammar usage can vary by context, register and variety; the questions specify the selected written construction. Repeated exposure or checking aids may change the count.
Every section has a public revision guide. Completing the practice shows every guide and item explanation without assigning a type by score. Public guides contain no personal responses or counts; studying before practice is welcome. This is not a secure exam.
Review past negatives, present continuous, two perfect forms, future perfect and present passive through six specified constructions.
Review singular heads, two-person subjects, each, subject and object pronouns, and a non-defining clause about a person.
Review a and an before the next word’s sound, at/on/in in specified calendar expressions, and the base verb after can.
Review two semicolon patterns, singular and plural possessives, possessive its and the contraction it’s, with the task constraints stated.
There are 24 original multiple-choice items, six each on verb forms and time, agreement and reference, articles and function words, and punctuation and possession. Every answer is explained after completion, and all four full public guides can also be read before starting.
No. Counts describe this fixed set of selected grammar choices. There is no calibrated CEFR mapping, exam conversion, writing grade or proofreading qualification. Recognising a form does not demonstrate spontaneous writing, listening or speaking.
This set contains 24 new grammar-only tasks. The separate English proficiency practice mixes grammar with vocabulary, reading and functional messages. The two banks are distinct; neither converts raw counts to a calibrated overall language level.
Meaning, sentence boundaries and usage conventions can change which forms fit. The question states the construction or editing goal, such as past perfect or one sentence without a conjunction. An alternative may work in another context without meeting this task’s explicit request.
All answers, explanations and four full guides are free, without an account, email or payment. There is no timer. A retake uses the same 24 original questions, not a calibrated parallel form. After seeing the answers, a higher count may reflect memory.
English remains the target language; instructions and explanations are bilingual while stimuli and alternatives remain English. Cross-language measurement equivalence is not established. Answers stay in the browser. Optional tab drafts expire after 24 hours and clear on completion, exit-and-clear or retake. Sharing copies a public test link without answers or counts.
FermatMind wrote the contexts, alternatives, explanations, examples and guides. Selected British Council, Cambridge Grammar and Purdue OWL reference facts support the answer review.
