Recalled cycle timing
Read this complete original public topic without answering. Every visitor sees the same explanation, with no personal categories, cycle history, counts or diagnosis.
Six separate recollection-match counts add to four descriptions. Unscored stays distinct from does not match. No frequency, symptom count, total, mean, weighting, risk tier or clinical inference.
Retain before and after as remembered context
- Four original descriptions concern noticing a change before a period, feelings moving towards usual after it began, some of the same feelings continuing afterward and remembering a different experience at another recent time. They keep separate accounts of timing. Recognising several descriptions does not verify a clinical pattern, establish a cause or prove that feelings changed at the same point in every cycle.
- The page collects no dates, daily entries, ovulation information or cycle history. It cannot reconstruct the days from a match label or decide that bleeding marked a particular physiological phase. If timing is unclear or there is no relevant completed cycle, you can leave any or every description unscored. Nothing requires you to turn an uncertain memory into a precise calendar account.
Read recollection matches, not a PMDD score
- Each original description uses does not match my recollection, matches slightly, partly, mostly, closely or unscored. These labels describe how a statement fits the period start you remember. They do not measure event frequency, symptom intensity or amount of impact. Six separate counts add to four descriptions, with each choice retained. IDs are labels, without points, a total, average, rank or winning topic.
- Two partly matches, one closely matches and one unscored in a fictional account stay separate counts of two, one and one. They do not establish a symptom count, a clinical pattern or a threshold for support. The four editorial topics may overlap and have no validated independence. An unscored choice is not a zero and remains distinct from does not match.
Easing and continuing need not cancel each other
- Imagine remembering that some feelings moved closer to usual after a period began while a different concern continued. Both recollections can remain. The continuing-after description is not reverse-scored, subtracted from easing or used to select a diagnosis. A category record cannot decide that one remembered change explains the whole period or that continued difficulty rules a particular condition in or out.
- Likewise, remembering a different recent time is not a measured comparison period. The circumstances, opportunities and memory may differ. No label estimates the size of a before-and-after change or asks which time was healthier. You are not asked to search old messages, inspect a tracking app, recreate discomfort or begin daily logging to make the comparison more complete.
One retrospective account is not prospective confirmation
- This original page does not administer DRSP, PSST or a published PMDD form. Its recalled timing cannot replace prospective daily observations, establish recurrence or confirm a diagnostic pattern. The linked Office on Women’s Health publication describes broader professional assessment, not validation of these original descriptions. A professional may consider information that is absent from this page, and no diary is required by the website before a concern can be raised.
- General mood and worry pages use other recall windows and keep their own methods. This timing supplement does not merge their answers, construct a weighted cycle score or turn ordinary feelings into a hormonal explanation. The four topics can overlap without being independent validated dimensions. No symptom threshold, cycle count or match pattern determines whether you deserve support.
One optional remembered period start leaves gaps open
- If you choose to answer, recall the days around one recent menstrual period you remember, before and after it began. These are editorial references, not a measured cycle phase or ovulation date. No dates, cycle history or free-text account are entered. This adult self-recollection does not assume a gender, pregnancy history, parent role or regular cycles.
- No relevant period recollection, unclear timing and withholding can all remain unscored. Do not reconstruct a difficult memory, check a body sensation or start tracking to make an answer possible. All descriptions may be unscored without an invented personal interpretation. A later recollection can differ because memory or circumstances changed; it does not demonstrate improvement, deterioration, a hormone effect or treatment response.
Support does not require a diary or cycle label
- You may ask a qualified healthcare or mental-health professional about a concern without completing this page, reaching a count or waiting through more cycles. Keep existing care, advice and support independent. Do not use a record to postpone assessment, change medicine or contraception or dismiss a concern as only cyclical. The page cannot assess healthcare need, urgency or personal safety.
- This is not DRSP, PSST or a PMDD diagnostic instrument. Retrospective labels do not replace prospective daily observations or professional assessment. No clinical norms, validated thresholds or bilingual measurement equivalence have been established. The Office on Women’s Health gives broader background, not these original items or validation. In immediate danger or if you cannot stay safe, seek local emergency assistance; this page cannot monitor you or respond to an emergency.
Keep the uncertainty in an optional conversation
- If you choose to discuss timing, you could distinguish what you remember clearly from what you do not know. You decide the detail and audience. You need not label a phase, verify a repeating pattern or wait for another cycle. The page assigns no tracking schedule or treatment task. Existing concerns outside the selected period remain relevant and must not be dismissed because a category seemed to fit.
- Selections stay in page memory only, without drafts, submission, questionnaire analytics or a personal result URL. Exit, retake, reload and leaving clear them. Copying shares only the public title and entry. All four complete guides remain public before answers and after any record, including entirely unscored. Reading and support do not depend on an orderly calendar, regular cycles or a verified before-and-after story.
