Observe, ask and make help specific
Explore Izuku Midoriya (Deku) through observe, ask and make help specific, a concrete everyday example and comparisons with the other five classmates. Full unofficial result guide and scoring limits.
All 24 questions require one choice. Each explicitly mapped response adds one raw count to one character, with counts summing to 24. Each of six characters appears 16 times, four times in every option position; an absent character is not a rejected response. Every highest count receives its full guide. Choosing A throughout gives four counts each and all six guides. No name or list order breaks a tie. Counts are not similarity percentages, powers, skill levels or population ranks. One additional choice has no established psychological significance; close guides can be compared without inventing a tie or secondary identity.
The fictional reference
Izuku Midoriya, also called Deku, wants to become a hero and has a strong wish to help people. This edition takes the limited angle of learning through observation and making help specific. It does not transfer his powers, sacrifices or life story to a respondent. In ordinary activities, the angle appears in noticing how something works, asking a useful question and finding out what kind of help is wanted.
What your count describes
A highest Midoriya count means you more often selected observation, a relevant question or a detail that could help the next attempt. That can be useful when an activity feels confusing and a broad offer of help leaves the actual need unclear. The tradeoff is gathering more information than this situation needs, or assuming that noticing a difficulty authorises you to solve it. Asking permission can keep careful attention connected to what the other person actually wants.
Helping with a new puzzle
Suppose a friend is trying a puzzle. You notice a useful pattern and want to explain everything. Ask what they have already seen and whether they want a clue. They may want only a small hint or prefer to keep trying alone. You can offer one observation without taking over the whole attempt. If your observation turns out to be wrong, revise it plainly. Interest and care do not guarantee that your interpretation is correct.
Compare the other five approaches
Bakugo’s angle starts with a personal challenge; Midoriya’s starts with a question about what can be learned or helped. Todoroki keeps a route personally chosen, Uraraka reduces a practical burden, Iida clarifies shared conditions and Kirishima makes commitment visible. You may use all six in one project. A high Midoriya count is not an intelligence, empathy or heroism score, and a lower one does not mean that you fail to notice or care.
A small question to try
In an optional learning activity, replace a general offer of help with one specific question: “Would a clue, an example or more time be useful?” Treat each answer as legitimate. You need not volunteer for something beyond your time or knowledge. If you prefer not to ask, simply noticing the alternatives is enough. The exercise is about making one offer clearer, not measuring how selfless you are or requiring you to carry other people’s work.
