Reflect on bringing settled, unrelated or deferred disputes into a new issue. This does not require forgetting history or decide that an event is resolved.

Four valid ratings yield this part’s accuracy mean, without overall toxicity, bands or a personal verdict.
How past disputes change the current issue
These sentences concern particular shifts: using a previously settled dispute again as fault, adding unrelated old issues to a new problem, listing past complaints after agreeing on one topic, and returning to an old dispute when present details are requested. They do not ask whether you remember unpleasant events or prohibit mentioning the past. A genuinely unresolved issue may need its own discussion. The items do not verify what was settled, who agreed to what, or which background is relevant. They therefore cannot draw the one correct boundary around a conversation or decide that history should be ignored.
The mean does not rate forgiveness
A higher mean means that these sentences fit your recollection over the past three months more closely. It does not establish resentment, unwillingness to forgive or greater harm. A lower mean does not prove old issues were adequately addressed: new disagreements or opportunities for discussion may simply have been scarce. Three retains uncertainty or conditionality while entering the arithmetic, rather than representing a healthy midpoint of remembering. Four valid ratings meet this edition’s display rule only. No boundary turns a score into a saintly, mildly toxic or severely toxic person, and no population ranking is supplied.
Separating two issues that need discussion
While checking when an object will be returned, you remember a previous disagreement about dividing tasks. One distinction is whether that disagreement directly affects the current timing or remains a separate unresolved issue needing its own discussion. Naming both issues separately need not deny the past’s impact or guarantee immediate agreement. The questionnaire has no record of the actual arrangements and cannot decide relevance from your ratings. It also cannot require someone to use “only discuss the present” as a reason to conceal an ongoing problem. The example is an invitation to distinguish topics, not a ruling that one must be dropped.
Optionally reserving space for the earlier issue
If workable, try: “I want to check the return time first. The earlier division of tasks still feels unresolved to me; could we make separate time for it?” You could instead explain why the two issues are connected. A standard phrase cannot guarantee willingness or suitable conditions for a discussion. This option does not demand forgiveness, forgetting or withdrawal of your needs, and pausing remains possible when the circumstances are unsuitable. Completing the questionnaire requires neither renewed contact with someone nor submission of old conversations. Its purpose is to clarify a possible choice, not compel a particular relationship outcome.
Carryover and the other four parts
Carryover concerns how the scope of a discussion expands across time, not speaking volume or emotional intensity. Explaining your position can remain entirely about the current issue and therefore differs from carryover. Hints concern explicit requests; comparisons concern bigger-or-better frames; retelling concerns verification and shareable details. Telling a third person about the past may involve retelling too, without making the two means additive or averageable as “relationship toxicity.” The five guides provide specific reflection angles. They neither cover every interaction difficulty nor establish a common latent personality behind them.
Ongoing problems are not automatically old scores
A repeated problem may require attention to a history of events and cannot be declared finished simply because someone wants to focus on one current issue. Keeping important records, maintaining boundaries and seeking appropriate support are not automatically scorekeeping. These items assess neither responsibility, risk nor unequal power and cannot decide whether you should reconcile, stay or keep discussing. Equally, one reference to the past does not establish deliberate diversion by another person. Such judgments need specific information. The questionnaire collects no event records or observer perspective and should not replace those missing facts with a mean.
Reviewing topics rather than labelling people
If you want to review something, name two or three topics that arose in an ordinary discussion and consider which were connected and which might need separate time. No names or sensitive details are required, and the other person need not endorse this test. An optional change is to identify the present detail first, then explicitly name any separate unresolved issue. Whether the conversation becomes easier still depends on both people’s needs and circumstances; this edition has not established that the exercise improves relationships. A different later mean does not prove greater forgiveness or increased difficulty as a person.
Recomputing five separate parts
All twenty items offer 1 Very inaccurate, 2 Somewhat inaccurate, 3 Uncertain or depends on the situation, 4 Somewhat accurate, 5 Very accurate, or a separate NA. Five parts contain four directly keyed items each, with zero reversals. A part needs all four numeric ratings: its raw sum of 4–20 divided by four gives a two-decimal descriptive mean and a rated count, never reconstructed from a one-decimal mean. Three is numerically valid without becoming stable neutrality, frequency or intensity. NA is not zero, three or an estimate from the remaining items. Missing information in one part does not erase another. All twenty selections finish the attempt, and all five full guides remain readable. There is no highest type, overall sum or mean, percentage, percentile or saintly-to-severe band. Averaging ordered categories is a display convention, not established interval precision, magnitude of harm or significant change.
Edition, full free guides and privacy
This new form contains sixteen newly authored items plus four Chinese items from one part of an owned mini-program preview with new English translations. It is neither a whole-form migration nor a validated scale. “Toxic trait” is a common search title; results discuss specific practices without judging anyone’s morality, diagnosis, danger, responsibility or career. Full text is free without another assessment. Drafts require opt-in, stay on this device for twenty-four hours and clear on completion, exit or retake; declining storage does not prevent completion. Sharing includes only the test name and public entry, without answers, personal means or missing counts. No private event material is requested, and no population rankings, language equivalence or local norms are established.
