Unfamiliar sensory impressions — Complete Experience Guide
The four descriptions concern an impression that is hard to place, an unexpectedly intense sensation, uncertainty between surroundings and thought, and an impression remaining on your mind. They ask about your recollection of an experience. They do not establish whether a sound, sight or other event occurred outside you.
Four descriptions retain six labels without a clinical score, prediction or reality verdict.
Describe the impression without deciding its source
- The four descriptions concern an impression that is hard to place, an unexpectedly intense sensation, uncertainty between surroundings and thought, and an impression remaining on your mind. They ask about your recollection of an experience. They do not establish whether a sound, sight or other event occurred outside you.
- This page cannot identify a hallucination, verify an interpretation or certify that a medical concern is absent. Do not repeat an experience, make recordings, seek signs or ask someone to prove an explanation for this reflection. A category records a description rather than settling what is real.
Four descriptions, six separate counts
- The six label counts add to four selected descriptions. They count neither events nor symptoms, time, severity or likelihood. IDs are not points. There is no total, mean, highest topic, clinical cutoff, prediction or risk category.
- One often, one sometimes and two unscored remain those four choices. No opportunity, unclear recall and withholding do not become did not notice. All unscored gives no finding. Frequent selections cannot establish psychosis or its cause, and fewer selections cannot exclude a concern or certify safety.
A fictional example without a verdict
- A fictional adult recalls a brief sound that was difficult to place while doing a routine task. They may record their uncertainty without choosing a cause or searching for evidence. If they cannot recall whether that experience occurred, the description can stay unscored. The example does not imply that an external event did or did not happen.
- This is not an expected answer or an experiment to repeat. Later differences may reflect opportunity, interpretation or what you recall. They cannot establish recovery, deterioration, treatment response or future illness, and they do not prove or disprove an explanation.
Original reflection, separate from clinical assessment
- These twenty bilingual descriptions and five overlapping editorial topics are original and unvalidated. They are not the Prodromal Questionnaire, PQ-B, PRIME Screen or a clinical psychosis-risk instrument. The four-week window is editorial. No norms, diagnostic algorithm, prediction model or established language equivalence is supplied.
- NIMH describes professional assessment and possible causes in its public background material. That source provides no validation or endorsement of this original form. Other attention, sensory or relationship forms keep their own methods; their answers and scores cannot be combined into a clinical conclusion here.
One optional way to describe an actual need
- If you want support, describe the experience in ordinary language to a qualified healthcare professional, including what is concerning you and what help you want. No detailed sensory account or attempt to reproduce the impression is required by this page. You can stop reflecting whenever you choose.
- Reading alone is enough. No result requires disclosure, an exercise, a changed boundary or proof that you can control an experience. A count cannot prescribe a technique, determine treatment or require you to investigate another person or an uncertain interpretation.
Support, stopping and privacy
- If an experience is new, concerning, continuing or affecting daily life, you can discuss it with a qualified healthcare professional without completing or reaching a count. This page cannot assess causes, medical need or urgency. Do not delay care or change treatment because of it. If immediate danger is present or you cannot stay safe, seek appropriate local emergency assistance rather than continuing.
- All guides and support information are public for every answer pattern. Answers stay only in current-page memory, without drafts, submission, questionnaire analytics or a personal result address. Exit, reload, leaving and retake clear them. Copying includes only the public title and entry, without selections, counts, names or personal explanations.
