How to Make, Share and Manage a Friendship Quiz
Create your quiz, send an invite, recover a draft and keep your private management key safe. A practical guide to FermatMind's friendship game.
Start with your own choices
- Enter a nickname and choose 30, 60, 90, 120 or 150 questions. Each of six categories gets an equal share. Swap a question for another from the same category before making the invite.
- Answer as yourself. Go back to edit, review everything, then make the invite. Questions, order and the answer key freeze at that point.
- Copy the invite or open your device's share sheet. You decide whether to send it. Cancelling doesn't send anything. Saved images and Stories images need a separate link sticker or pasted invite.
- A friend opens your link and enters a nickname. Each choice reveals your answer straight away; consecutive matches build a streak. A revealed guess stays locked, even after refreshing. The final screen brings together the score, category radar and friendboard. A retry returns the same result rather than adding another entry.
Your invite and management access are different
Invite holders can play and see the visible friendboard, but can't manage it. Download your private management file after creating. Its link carries a management key: anyone holding that key can view your answer key, hide or restore entries, close or delete the quiz. Never send that file to friends.
Refreshes, new devices and missing progress
When storage is allowed, unfinished progress stays in the current browser. The tool lists up to 20 recent locally saved quizzes; use the private file for older ones. Friends can reopen the same invite to restore progress or their result. Private browsing, denied storage or clearing browser data can remove that copy; the interface warns you when saving fails. Use the private management file on another device. Friends' progress and results don't sync across devices. There is no account or nickname-based way to recover a lost key.
Entries, closure and expiry
A quiz lasts 90 days. Access stops at expiry, and hourly cleanup deletes expired data in batches. Each quiz holds up to 1,000 entries. Closing blocks play and result access, while the creator can still manage and reopen it. Hidden entries disappear from the public ranking and comparisons and can be restored. Deleting removes the quiz and all entries permanently. Creator previews never enter rankings or aggregate counts.
Keep it comfortable for everyone
Use made-up names and leave out contact details or private information. A publicly posted invite can be played by strangers. Don't use the game to pressure someone into revealing private experiences, proving loyalty or defending a low score. Hide inappropriate entries or close the quiz when needed.
