Remembered attention to feelings — Complete Reading
These five descriptions concern wanting an adult to ask about a feeling, remembered mood changes being noticed, keeping a feeling private, being asked after a difficult moment, and uncertainty about whom to approach. They record what you recall now, not how attentive every adult was throughout childhood.
Six category counts retain five individual descriptions, without points, reversal, totals or a verdict about childhood.
Attention to feelings is different from noticing behaviour
- These five descriptions concern wanting an adult to ask about a feeling, remembered mood changes being noticed, keeping a feeling private, being asked after a difficult moment, and uncertainty about whom to approach. They record what you recall now, not how attentive every adult was throughout childhood.
- An adult might have noticed schoolwork or practical needs without a conversation about feelings. You may also remember a caring exchange clearly. These accounts can coexist. The page does not assume that food, housing or safety were provided, or that a remembered lack of conversation establishes neglect.
Read labels, not a neglect score
- Each of five descriptions retains its selected category: does not fit, fits a little, fits partly, fits closely, fits very closely, or unscored. Six counts add to five descriptions. IDs are labels, not points; there is no sum, mean, highest topic, risk band or diagnosis.
- Positive and difficult descriptions are mixed. A close fit to receiving comfort cannot be subtracted from a close fit to wanting it. Unclear recall stays unscored, distinct from does not fit. An entirely unscored topic establishes no finding about what happened, your health or your need for support.
A mixed example can remain mixed
- One fictional person recalls being asked about an upset after school but not knowing whom to approach on another occasion. Another cannot recall either situation. The first record keeps both descriptions; the second can stay unscored. Neither becomes a verdict about whether a childhood was good or bad.
- For example, two close fits, one partial fit and two unscored remain exactly that record. They do not mean two events, a majority of childhood, reliable recall or a level of neglect. The page cannot check memories, infer intentions or settle whether an account is complete.
Keep one phrase if it is useful
- A phrase you might keep is “I remember wanting someone to ask how I felt.” It describes a recollection without deciding why an adult responded as they did. You need not identify a person, recover an earlier scene or compare your memories with someone else’s account.
- Participation is optional for adults describing themselves. This is not a form for assessing a child, partner, employee or caregiver. You need not search for earlier memories, disclose private events, persuade anyone or accept a family label. Choosing not to continue is not an interpretation of your history.
Support is available without a result
- You can discuss feelings, questions or distress with a qualified healthcare professional without completing this page, reaching a count or proving childhood harm. This page cannot assess medical need or urgency, choose treatment or replace existing professional advice. Do not use it to delay care or dismiss a real safety concern.
- If you are in immediate danger or cannot stay safe, seek local emergency assistance instead of continuing. The page cannot observe you, arrange care or respond to an emergency. The same support information is public before answers, in all four guides and for every record, including entirely unscored.
Original content and private page memory
- These are twenty original bilingual descriptions, not the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire, a Jonice Webb checklist or a validated measure of emotional neglect. The four overlapping editorial topics have no established norms, clinical thresholds or English–Chinese measurement equivalence. A later difference cannot measure recovery, deterioration or treatment response.
- Answers and individual records stay in current-page memory only. There is no stored draft, submission, questionnaire analytics or personal result URL. Exit, retake, reload and leaving clear them. Copying the entry shares only its public title and address. All four complete readings are the same public text for everyone.
