Preserve every leading zero
Leading-zero reference codes: full practice guide with an original worked minute, exact-entry and character denominators, editing rules, device limits and a small optional review routine.
Every complete round lasts 60 seconds. Confirmed-equivalent KPH = (characters in confirmed entries + one separator per entry) ÷ 60 × 3,600. Exact-entry KPH uses only entirely correct entries, including their separator. Backspace and discarded characters are not throughput; a confirmation button represents the same one separator as Enter, not a measured physical keypress. Entry error rate = wrong confirmed entries ÷ all confirmed entries. Positional character accuracy = matching character positions ÷ the sum of the larger source/entered length for each confirmed entry. With no confirmed entries, accuracy and error rate are unavailable.
A reference code is a string
The reference mode uses six-character synthetic codes beginning with two zeros. Treat every zero as part of the displayed identifier rather than as an optional numerical prefix. The source 000482 therefore differs from 482 even though a number parser might convert them to the same integer. The input is a text field so the browser does not intentionally strip those zeros. These codes are invented practice material, not customer identifiers, account numbers or real records to look up elsewhere.
A full example with a shortened code
Take sources 000482, 003196 and 004173, and confirmed entries 482, 003196 and 004713 over 60 seconds. Fifteen entered characters plus three separators give 1,080 confirmed-equivalent KPH. Only 003196 is entirely right, so six characters plus one separator give 420 exact-entry KPH. Two of three entries are wrong, an error rate of 66.7%. Ten of eighteen compared positions match, or 55.6% positional accuracy. The shortened first code earns no exact-entry credit and its shifted positions are not silently realigned.
Check boundaries as well as digits
Confirm one code at a time. Combining two source rows in one input or pressing Enter on an empty box produces an incorrect entry for the current row rather than moving the scoring alignment around. Once confirmed, the row stays in the review. An unconfirmed tail at the deadline is listed separately and excluded. This makes the entry boundary explicit, while allowing Backspace and normal editing before confirmation. It does not claim to measure every physical key pressed during the minute.
Compare only the task you actually did
The leading-zero list asks for a narrower format than general typing or a complete administrative workflow. A result cannot establish memory, attention as a trait, job suitability or ability to handle private records. Keep the source mode and input method beside the numbers when comparing attempts. An event reported as Numpad can come from software or an accessibility device as well as a keyboard. The report describes observed events, not a verified device or an anti-cheating assessment.
Try a short boundary check
If you return to the same reference mode, you might check the first two characters and the total code length before confirming each row. You can instead keep your current method and inspect where mismatches appeared afterwards. Prior exposure to the fixed list affects comparison, so do not treat a higher number as proof of general improvement. Use only the invented source provided here; no personal or workplace records are needed for this local exercise, and stopping creates no certification or failure label.

Practice scope, device and privacy
These fixed synthetic numbers, task rules and worked guides are independently authored by FermatMind for local practice. Scores describe this edition, device, mode and uninterrupted minute, with prior exposure and any assistance affecting comparability. They are not employer norms, hiring certification, an IQ measure or a prediction of job performance. Browser key codes describe reported events rather than proving a physical keypad. Inputs stay in this page’s memory, with no answer upload, saved draft, answer URL or answer analytics. Hiding the page or a detected clock discrepancy cancels and clears the round; reload starts again.
