Check only what the written specification actually permits.
Review character formats, symbol positions, space removal, 24-hour times and allowed sets. The guide distinguishes literal matching from guessing a pattern and offers a repeatable checklist.
This section has six tasks. The result is the number answered correctly out of six; all tasks weigh one point. This is an item-set result, not a percentile or a fixed ability band.
Six explicit specifications
The tasks specify uppercase letters and digit counts, a complete symbol reference, ignoring spaces only, an exact 24-hour time format, membership without duplication and a lowercase label. You are never asked to discover a hidden universal pattern. Characters, order and exceptions must be interpreted as the individual task defines them.
Normalisation must be authorised
If a task says to ignore spaces, XY 62 and X Y62 match after removing spaces. XY-62 does not become the same string unless hyphens may also be ignored. Nor should xy62 automatically match XY62 when case remains significant. A convenient change to the text can silently change the task you are answering.
Review which requirement was missed
At 6/6, all six supplied specifications were followed in this attempt. A lower count does not prove poor visual attention. Review whether the mismatch involved position, case, length, a range or a repeated member. Those are different checks. Even an exact pattern can be invalid if another condition, such as a numeric range, is violated.
Use a short format checklist
For a fresh practice label, check length, permitted characters, their order and any value limits separately. For a list, check every member and then check duplication as its own step. Zoom symbols if needed. Compare against the displayed reference; do not infer a rule from how most answer options happen to look.
Format success is not a visual diagnosis
These tasks are not an eyesight, dyslexia, ADHD or employment screen. Display conditions and familiarity with Latin characters can influence this short set. The result includes the correct answers so you can learn from each comparison. That transparency also means a repeated score cannot be treated as an independent assessment.
