Original reflection on five interaction stances · Full results free
Take the free egogram test: 20 original items, five ego-state frequency readings, raw scores, missing information and all full guides with examples.
20 questions · about 4 minutes · no signup
Think about the past four weeks, when a relevant occasion actually arose, and rate how often each concrete action occurred, from 1 Never to 5 Almost always. Describe what you did, not what ought to happen or whether you agree with an idea. Use the separate option for no relevant opportunity, inability to judge or preferring not to answer; it is not never, neutral or zero. Each group requires all four valid ratings while other groups remain separately readable. Parent, Adult and Child are framework labels, not actual ages, family roles or maturity. No conversations, childhood stories or third-party details are entered.

In the past four weeks, when opportunities arose, how did you express requirements, offer support, check information, express playfulness and adjust coordination? This original self-observation borrows five functional transactional-analysis labels: Critical Parent (CP), Nurturing Parent (NP), Adult (A), Free Child (FC) and Adapted Child (AC). Four concrete actions per group make twenty items. A complete attempt shows five separate frequency bars, raw sums and rated counts, with all five nine-section guides covering higher and lower readings, mixed or missing information, examples, counterexamples and optional checks. The groups compete for no fixed energy and assign neither a highest-bar personality nor an ideal shape. Parent, Adult and Child are not actual ages, family roles or childhood causes. This is no standard TEG3, Dusay, Heyer or competitor bank. All questions and results are free; read before deciding whether to answer.
All items are direct, with no reversals. Each group requires four valid ratings for a raw sum of 4–20 and a two-decimal mean from the unrounded sum divided by four. The separate option covers no relevant opportunity, inability to judge or preferring not to answer; it is not never, neutral or zero. One missing rating leaves only that group insufficient without an estimate from three items or a whole-form total.
Read what each of the 5 parts explores. Your complete result presents them together; they are not mutually exclusive personality types. These public guides contain no one’s answers or personal means.
Read CP standard-expressing actions, raw frequency scores, higher or lower readings, missing information and a checklist example without judging authority.
Read NP supporting actions, raw frequency scores, higher or lower readings, missing information and examples without certifying kindness or empathy.
Read A checking actions, raw frequency scores, higher or lower readings, missing information and examples without inferring IQ or maturity.
Read FC voluntary play, raw frequency scores, higher or lower readings, missing information and examples without inferring creativity or childhood.
Read AC situational adjustments, raw frequency scores, higher or lower readings and examples without inferring motives, consent or childhood.
They are functional names from transactional-analysis background. This edition separately observes standards, support, present checking, voluntary play and situational adjustment. Parent, Adult and Child are not ages, family identities or evidence of childhood causes. Each group covers only its four specified actions.
This is an original observation of interaction practices inspired by the names of five functional ego states in transactional analysis, not standard TEG3, Heyer’s 1979 bank, Dusay’s original tool, treatment evaluation or JobCannon’s twenty items. Each group covers only its four specified actions rather than a complete clinical ego state; AC does not cover all rebellion and compliance meanings. Frequencies may be simultaneously higher or lower without conserved psychic energy or a necessary decline in one group when another rises. There are no local norms, type thresholds, ideal shapes, childhood causes, IQ, maturity, empathy, health or work-performance conclusions. The chart does not diagnose or judge another person.
Each group sums four direct ratings for 4–20 only when all are valid, with a descriptive mean from the unrounded sum. Any NA keeps that group insufficient without neutral or zero; other groups remain separate. Twenty selections finish an attempt with all guides available, while an unselected item is unfinished.
This edition makes no such assignment or ranking and measures no conserved psychic energy. All five can be higher, lower or equal without an ideal balance, maturity or health verdict. Higher and lower concern only the specified actions and recent opportunities.
No. Public association material and article abstracts provide background without adopting those standard banks, norms or clinical methods. Our original items, Chinese, NA rule and web presentation have no local psychometric validation and supply no diagnosis or hiring evaluation.
All five full guides appear together for free without another assessment, an email address or payment. When reviewing, compare settings, opportunities and particular items rather than treating a score difference as treatment benefit or personality change. Answers are processed on this device without real conversations, childhood stories or third-party details. An explicitly enabled tab draft lasts at most twenty-four hours and clears on completion, retake or exit-and-clear; answering requires no saved draft. Sharing contains only the test name, public guide names and link, without answers, five scores or chart data. Later recommendations are optional different frameworks, not completion of an insufficient score. You may simply finish here.
CP observes expressions of standards and evaluation; NP, concrete support and acceptance; A, present-information checking; FC, voluntary play and small trials; AC, situational adjustment. Each group covers only its four specified actions rather than a complete clinical ego state. AC does not measure rebellion at the lower endpoint. Groups can coexist or all be infrequent when opportunities are limited; an action establishes no motive.
The chart compares five self-reported frequencies on separate 1–5 ranges, not normalised percentages. A highest, lowest or all-equal pattern assigns no type, maturity, health or ideal balance. Higher A proves no correct thinking, higher NP no effective help and higher AC no fear of conflict. Return to particular actions and circumstances. All five full guides remain available rather than hiding lower groups or insufficient information.
